Rigby PH or Parkwest 404 Jeffery?

Gents ordering new Swaro DG scopes, be careful and pay attention…there are options for both. Z8i and Z8i II are 30mm tubes, the Z8i+ is 34mm. All great scopes…but obviously different ring requirements so take note.

Just saw that. The new scope is a bit bigger everywhere, especially the eye piece.

If I had to guess, I would say all those in favor of Rigby are right handed. As

I’m guessing all the replies on this thread are right handed. Neither Rigby nor Heym do lefties under $30k. As a fellow left handed hunter, I am going with Park West in a 275 Rigby in SD 76 w plains game. I checked it out at SCI in Nashville. Quality seems pretty damn good. Would love to own a 416 Rigby but not spending that on Left Hand London model….

The Z8i II is the newest and a smart return to the previous 30mm tube. The Z8i+ was an intermediate misstep to 34mm and one that cost them a decent amount of business and listening to long-time customers rightfully complain…hence the new version of the Z8i.

Imagine if you had some sweet vintage Holland and Hollant or Rigby or Westley and had spent all the time and money to get those Holland and Holland mount/rings upgraded to a new version in 30mm…only to get outdated again. I’m sure 34mm have their place just not convinced it is on a DGR.
 
I know we will solve this. I have messages into Rigby, Recknagel and a custom supplier. I cannot be the only one looking for a solution to this. Anyone with a Rigby BGR experiences this
 
I will let everyone know the outcome of this. Paying $15k for a Rigby and not being able to easily get rings for it is a problem. I did find out coming back to the OP Parkwest has no problem with this. Something to consider when spending this kind of money and struggling to get scope rings
 
I’d call Gordys, Gentz, Wolfs Merchantile or the like. An Rigby dealer will know exactly what you are looking for. Same for Mauser, their current double square bridge actions use the same system.

My Rigby BGR in 416 is a first year production after Rigby’s return to London, uses the exact same system as today. It’s not anything new, just a cool, handy and ver fast, solid, and accurate on/off system milled/built into the action.

Nothing to figure out, just a set of rings to buy. I gave the Ft. Worth Library mgr a hard time that their buyer picked up close to 30 rifles that use a very specific ring system, and didn’t think to buy a single set for all those rifles.
 
@Rare Breed well Parkwest is a current US gun building operation and a continuation of Dakota Arms; Rigby is an acquired name. The real Rigby operation ceased in the 1950's if I understand what I've read. I did not want to rain on your parade because I've been in full support until your latest difficulty. Doesn't mean the Rigby company can't make good rifles; there's plenty of ops that ain't what they used to be. Still6 good luck!

Man, don’t stress about it. Contact NECG and they will have some on the way before the rifle arrives. I have Recknagels on many rifles and they are awesome. I will go pull a Rigby out in a bit and take some pictures.

I do share the angst that if someone is granted the opportunity to sell Rigby rifles, they should also carry scope mounting systems.

I dont want to say, but theres a shop in Canada with rigbys for a great price, even with exchange and fees probably.

I wish I was in the place to be able to buy one.
