Landed in Windhoek on Monday June 1st. After the tedious visa process, made it to our guest house in Otjiwarongo early afternoon - then went to check/refresh baits.

Luck was on our side as we tracked a potentially good Tom the next evening. After much needed rest we set a fresh bait sight where we picked up fresh tracks & decided to make an afternoon/evening sit June 3rd.

This Tom read the manual on cooperation as we couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity.

Perfect shot with my 7mm Backcountry & had my leopard. #2 of big 5, #3 of dangerous 7. He tipped the scales at 164#.

Wife & I spent rest of my time in Namibia taking an Eland, Damara Dik Dik, Warthog, Baboon, Duiker & an old grumpy Giraffe before headed back to Northern Cape for other plains game. Couldn’t have asked for a better 2nd Safari from Boschnel. Already planning an Elephant hunt for 2028.

Beautiful tom, congratulations!

Those Namibian leopards are tanks! Congratulations!

what a pig of leopard. What factory round were you using in the 7mm backcountry?

The Federal Fusion tipped 175gr. The caliber is unreal - shot every animal with it (minus the dik dik)
Sounds like a great leopard combo. Congrats again

Nice Damara Dik Dik.

What are your taxidermy plans with everything?

I have my Cape Buff hunt scheduled for June, 2028. I'm thinking leopard for '29.

Cradle of Man in RSA - Boschnel offers 15% off their list pricing. We also receive an unbelievable deal on crating/shipping.

My 2024 shipping quotes were $4500-$6000 for ocean freight. But my quote through my PH was $1800. Takes a little bit of the sting away.

Nice you should do a cool mount with the Dik Dik some how apart of the leopard diorama

Beautiful Tom, congratulations!

Now, what's with the Giraffe? Seems like it had a round or two with Mike Tyson. :ROFLMAO:

Agreed, check out this close up picture. Landowner wanted him shot - was tearing up fences & killing the neighbors giraffes!!

That duiker is also a large specimen. What a gnarly old brute of a giraffe. What an epic safari you had all around. With a freaking leopard to boot. Crazy good

Congratulations on a super nice leopard, looks like overall a great safari. I really like your eland as well

Any idea what happened to the giraffes head? obviously non-typical, but do you think it was damage or genetic?

Good morning. I see that you had a Sauer 202 for sale for $3,000. Did you sell it at that price?
I have one for sale as well. I listed it (on here ) at $3,000 as well. Is the price high, low or right where it should be?

Thanks. Alex. [redacted] in case you want to call me to discuss further. I appreciate your time help and support.

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.
