Monday May 11th for me, but Boston to Windhoek through Frankfurt. This sounds terrible, but I wish it was a few months later in the year. Work has been very busy and I haven't had much time to enjoy the build up.
Gaza Province.Where in Moz?

3 years ago I got my 550 in 458 from a Cabela's I think in Mass for 1095.00 out the door and delivered it was made in 2008 brand newBuff and eland. And I'm so glad you asked about my rifle. Two Thanksgivings ago I got a CZ550 in .375 H&H for $1261 to my door. Unfired and untouched. No Im not drunk and that is no mistype. A bit of cerakote, a barrel band, some loving work from Tim at Matrix on the bolt and a Christmas sale B&C stock and I was left with a pretty handy little rifle. Topped it with a Trij Accupoint 1-6x24. It shoots well enough with handloads. I'm really just dragging this out to humble brag about the price I paid. Never to be seen again. Its not overly pretty, but its my first big boy rifle.
Good for you! I hope to be as fortunate to be doing the same in my 80s.Leaving on the 13th for trip #10. Buffalo and a few plains game. Headed back to Blaauwkrantz in South Africa. 82 years old and these trips make me feel like a young man again. Taking a Blaser R8 .375 and a Sako .308.
I hunting Gaza Province in 2024 & I'm headed back in August for Buffalo & Eland.Gaza Province.
My group will be at HGS the following week ... happy hunting!I'm leaving on the 5th of May to Johannesburg. Hunting with Henry Griffiths
This is only my second trip. My first was best friend, his dad and youngest son, and two good hunting friends. It was a very fun group and a trip I won't forget. Like they say, you can only do your first trip once. Enjoy the trip and the friends. And post pics!Wish I had some advice on how to deal with the anticipation before leaving. I'm heading back for trip #2 with some friends on the 3rd of May. None of them have hunted Africa before, and I'm probably as excited for them as I am for my return.
Certainly hoping to head to a different country on trip 3; you guys all make it sound so amazing and the more I think about buffalo the more I really want a "wild" one!!
