I'm the bestie on this buff & eland trip to Matetsi 2 with Dave Freeburn. We'll also be hunting with Darren Ellerman as our second PH. I'm taking my Kimber Caprivi 416 RM, which is also topped with a Trij 1-6x24 Accupoint. This rifle has taken one buff before, my first in Limpopo in 2019. Apparently, there is a very good kudu they've seen a few times that will get shot if he shows himself. Shot at, anyway. And grysbok and maybe bushbuck or reedbuck. 12 May can't get here fast enough.

Two days out. Me and @Goose Cracker headed to Zim. Packed. Only wrapping up a few last details and some loose ends at work. And then we are R.U.N.N.O.F.T.

Headed from EWR to JNB on Tuesday, May 12 arriving 630pm on Wednesday. Staying in Intercontinental hotel until Friday Flight to Vic Falls. @Hooked Now let me know if you and your buddy want to have a drink while in JNB or 1pm at the Vic Fall Hotel on Friday. I'll be dressed in golf attire so it shouldn't be too hard to spot me. If I've had a few drinks you may even see me with my ridiculous hat.

Today is the day. All of my stress abiut getting everything done before I leave is morphing into a more collective sense that not all of that will get done and it is okay. Get a couple of days of travel behind me and it is off chasing buff.
