Good day all!
Many may be familiar with Vaughan Vosloo of Untamed Hunting on YouTube, and some may have had the joy of having him along on the hunt.
My name is Ross Vosloo, Vaughan’s cousin, and I am the Bladesmith and co owner at Untamed Knife Company.
We make hand made knives, all designed for the hunter to use in the bush. We do everything from periodic model drops (all still made by hand in house) to bespoke one of a kind custom pieces, to folding knives.
In particular, as a Bladesmith, I take great joy in hand forging Damascus steel blades. I am also an apprentice member of the ABS, American Bladesmith Society, and I plan to submit for my JS stamp as soon as I am eligible, in late 2027.
Untamed Knives is still a very small family business. Vaughan has the pleasure of being in the bush for most of the year. I work on every single knife that we make, along with a small 2 man team that assists me in some of the tasks such as hand sanding and rough grinding. My wife Danielle handles all of our admin, including keeping myself and Vaughan on the level!
If you are interested in your very own custom knife, perhaps made with part of or to commemorate a certain trophy or your time in Africa, or perhaps your interested in our knife drops, then please don’t hesitate to message, comment or reach out.
