ZIMBABWE: My Most Ambitious Hunt To Date And...

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And look what “Hawkeye” Heather found in the local book shop here in Vic Falls. And it’s signed. Either the second or third of the first edition I have now, plus I have one of the slip case books. Yea seems like I’m obsessed.

Richard Harland says this is the best African Adventure book he’s ever read and Buzz and I concur.

Excellent purchase and excellent book. I agree with you, Buzz and Mr. Harland.

Congratulations on an amazing safari!

Victoria Falls- at least part of it.

Wow! What a hunt. Hard to put that one into the proper words. Congratulations!

Breakfast views from the Lookout Cafe. If you look behind the arches that cloud is actually spray from Victoria Falls.

I sat here for a couple hours with my young apprentice professional hunter wondering how and why am I not like the urban termites and being extremely thankful.

Baines was last nights dinner destination. Located right on the Zambezi River at the top of the Falls. Food was excellent as has been all places we’ve eaten. Our journey home begins in a few hours.

Hemingway: “All I wanted to do was get back to Africa. We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.”

It’s always bittersweet to leave. Congrats again!

The airport at Victoria Falls. Leaving was the first time I’ve been shaken down by the police at firearm control in Zimbabwe. $5 to each did the trick. We are in Joberg now waiting on the next flight.

you were having too much fun. i'm jealous. Great safari

This adventure could be combined into a good read in a book for sure very few of us on this forum would ever be able to do a safari like yours but its good to keep drreaming and working towards a goal.

Please let us know if you will be posting the full video in the future for us to enjoy and thanks again for sharing such a marvelous adventure.

Rigby wants me to elaborate on the story posts I've already put up here for a new magazine they are publishing. I'm currently working on those. If I do the same thing for my 2024 and 2025 hunts I'll certainly have enough content for a series of short stories.

I've taken a look at just a little of the 25 hours of video that Andy filmed and indeed the final product should be remarkable. Looking forward to its completion.

I'm old school and prefer to write it myself. Although it might be interesting to run the final product thru AI to see if it can polish it up a bit without changing the story.

We are looking forward to your submissions!

What a great hunt and story. Buzz is an awesome chap, and Matetsi is still one of my favourite places in Zim, and also the location of my fist true hunt as a youngster.

Some amazing animals taken too. Well done sir! Look forward to reading more in depth
