Greetings all from British Columbia, Canada. Middle aged here but a pretty new hunter. Lots of time in the bush and with firearms but never really had a deep interest in hunting until the last few years. Life circumstances now allow more time for personal pursuits. Will be working more seriously this year for deer and possibly elk but now also thinking about Africa for plains game for added experience.

Welcome to AH.

Welcome to the forum. If you are thinking of Africa, you have come to the right place. Lots of information here on all things Africa.

:S Welcome:

British Columbia is one of my favorite places. Some really beautiful country.
Welcome to AH.

Welcome to the site from another BC resident. When the safari seed is planted life changes. All in an awesome way. Think a lifetime of BC hunting in a "once in a lifetime safari". Disclaimer, hardly ever is there one safari, life revolves around returning after the first.

This is the best place to learn, understand and speak to like minded people who have done that.

Enjoy your new found ride.

I too am in Victoria. I also spend a lot of time in the West Kootenays. Good to know I have some local expertise to tap into!

Victoria based but part time West Kootenays. I am starting to African hunting is not a one time thing! I'm already re jigging some of my other non-hunting travel plans to see how I can make things all work. Too little time!

I'm just up the rd, 3 hrs North in Campbell River, once the salmon capital of the world. Now probable catch and release salmon capital. I am in Vic often, normally at the taxidermist on lagoon. My best bud.

I have assisted many fellow Canadians from this site with answers concerning safari, couple in Vic and couple from other BC towns, being Canadian we have more and different rules than our friends south of border. Also import all my own dip and pack trophies, save $1000's.

If you have any questions, concerns or just want to BS about the best hunting you can imagine -safari just DM me. More than willing to help any way I can.

Just remember safari is a life changing addiction.

I will be looking for a set of these when my .505 is done... sadly not cashed up right now for these. :(
Need anything in trade?
Cheers,

what kind of velocity does the 140 grains list, curious how they would fit in with my current 130 gr, supply of 270s. maybe a pic of the box data listing vel. and drop. Oh and complements on that ammo belt, nice.
