I am out of touch with the First Time Hunter world in South Africa I am more connected with the cape buffalo farms. I am asking for a friend.
He is a good guy from Colorado and just needs a little help getting started.
I will get a short list of a few farms and then he will contact you.

This is what I am looking for.
1. Of course the price is a factor.
2. Authentic "Africa' type of hunt.
Minimum highway travel to hunting area and no big TV blaring away in the main lodge.
3. Please state how many hunting parties in camp and how far in time from camp to the hunting area.
4. Name and location, please.
5. Do you have any specials this year.

Thanks to everyone. I look for to hearing from you,

Brian Gallup

Good day Mr Brain,

I believe we have exactly what you are looking for. We offer a true stay-and-hunt experience with no travelling between different hunting areas you remain in one area for the duration of your hunt, allowing for a more relaxed and authentic experience.

We never mix groups!

Please feel free to get in touch with me directly. We currently have a few 2026 hunting specials available that may be of interest to you.
Kind regards
Derian Koekemoer

Has your friend thought about Namibia?

I couldn’t think of a better first safari. Massive low fence properties. Second lowest population density in the world. No one there. So peaceful. No shots needed and uber safe.

@KHOMAS HIGHLAND HUNTING SAFARIS is a site sponsor and is incredible value. Hunting a slew of NATIVE free range game in the beautiful central Namib mountains.

I think your buddy being from Colorado will really appreciate the terrain and style of hunting. I sent you a PM my friend.

Hello all,
I'm Brian as well and Brian was asking on my behalf. I've reached out to several outfitters and am narrowing down some fantastic options thanks to Brian.
Here's the entire list of what I'm looking for. I'd like to have a 7 day hunt where I harvest a kudu, gemsbok, blue wildebeest, red hartebeest, impala, and blesbok. Might consider adding a warthog, but the former are my true wish list for plains game.
I am willing to hunt different areas of Africa, not tied to a specific area. I'd prefer to not have to travel terribly far each day to get to our hunting spot (although I recognize sometimes you have to based on what you're hunting), and I'd prefer to be in an accommodation that is representative of Africa, not someone's home off the side of a road where we drive each day to hunting spots.

Thanks again for all the great responses so far, I'll likely be booking for around May of 2027, this year is a little booked up with other plans (although not impossible).

Nice may is Kudu rut for most areas! That will be fantastic. Planning your first hunt is so exciting. I’m jealous!

Enjoy every step of the way! And welcome to AH

P.S. David pointed out to me that Impala and blesbok may not be native to some areas. Actually, those are my "nice to have", the others are must have!

Yep! Was just making sure that was ok with you before I recommended exploring Namibia as an option! Blesbok in central Namibia would be far away from home for him! You won’t go wrong hunting with some of the great sight sponsors

Cheers Brian and have fun

My Classic Safari Tented Camp is situated inside my hunting area....you can hunt on foot from camp
Highly popular with guests once they have been they always coming back
No highway driving needed
Camp is NEVER overbooked....and in your friend's case: at worst only 1 more hunter will be at camp
Hunters NEVER share the hunting crew/hunting land....always exclusive!
Sending you direct message now

Hello all! Colorado Brian here. Can't thank everyone enough for reaching out and providing contacts and answering questions. I've chosen my Safari at this point but I'm sure I'll be back on the site at some point in the future looking for more opportunities. My choice is well affiliated with the site and recommended by many so thanks so much to all that responded and all that have contributed over the past years!

Would love to welcome Colorado Brian. We are in Namibia- one hunting group at a time. 2 hours from the airport. ALL hunting done on 45 000 acres of privately owned land. NO driving from one farm to another to shoot different species. We have 19 different species. And some special offers for March and April 2026. info@kalahari-safari.com

Kalahari, That sounds perfect. However, I think that Colorado Brian has found what he wanted at a Okavango River.
As for me, every year I am looking for discount cape buffalo cows.
This year I will probably hunt in the eastern Kalahari, 6 old cows, $2000USD each everything included, total of $12,000 USD.
Do you ever offer a cull hunt like that? I am interested. BC Brian

Glad Brian got his fit!

Unfortunately we do not do cull hunts. All the best :)

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
