Good morning fellow AHers. I have 231 rounds of 35 Whelen ammo for sale. All ammo is loaded with 225 grain TBBC projectiles and is loaded by Federal. My 35 Whelen does not like these rounds in terms of accuracy so I am offering them up for sale.

All boxes shown are full 20 round boxes, except for the top box in the middle stack, it only has 11 rounds in it. I would prefer to sell all of these together as one lot for $850, shipped in the lower 48. That is a bit of a discount at $3.68 per round. I would need to charge actual shipping to Alaska.

I am willing to sell individual boxes of 20 rounds for $90 a box, shipped. I can accept a good personal check, usps money order or Zelle as forms of payment. These are not listed anywhere else at the moment.

The first I’ll take it here in this thread gets it. We can then exchange payment and shipping info via PM.

I have bought and sold many times here on the forum. To include bullets, ammo, scopes and rifles. I’ll be glad to provide references from the forum that I’ve bought and sold from, if requested. I am always open to a phone call or face time call with anyone interested in buying any of this ammo. Let me know if there are any questions. Thanks for looking.

Hey Shaun, I will take two boxes from the middle stack to try in my 35 Whelen. What make of rifle do you use the didn’t like the rounds? Mine is a Ruger Hawkeye African so if that is different from yours I will try them. I’m currently shooting 225 gr accubonds

@MontanaPat, mine is a LH model 70. It was built off of a 30-06 action. With the TBBCs, it’s about an inch and a half gun.

It shoots 200 grain interlocks 3/4 MOA, consistently. These are great on my local deer and pigs. I’m looking for something that is bonded and accurate in my rifle for taking it after tougher game. I am going to try the 225 Accubonds. Hopefully they will be better in my rifle. I’ll get a couple of boxes headed your way.

Darn, just saw this ad. I'd have taken all.

What's left? Two full boxes or 31 cartridges?

@Fatback
Get your self a pound of CFE223 and start at 65gn and work up to a max of 69 gn.
The max load will give you around 2,900fps.
A max load of 61gn of varget should give you over 2,800fps according to Nosler.
These loads were safe in MY rifle but work up from the lower end.
Both loads gave sub .75" groups in my rifle.
Compared to factory loads these are way more potent.

@ActionBob
Start loading using some of my loads Bob.
They will give you some fun.
For a fun load that's cheap work up to 70gn of CFE 223 behind a Sierra 225gn BTSPGK.
This will give you around 2,900fps and should drop them Texan whitetail and hogs, may have a bit of meat damage tho.

Good morning,
Did you hunt w Leeuwkop at their ranch or in Zimbabwe? The ranch looks awesome, but I'll be in Zimbabwe for buffalo and whatever else we dig up.
What did you hunt for?
Vaccines?
What rifle did you use?
I feel like I need a good cotton safari shirt and an ammo belt to make the hunt feel right!
How often did you shoot prior to going?
Did you use sticks for shooting practice?
