Here is a Remington 700 BDL 30-06 made in April of 1974 (CY date code). I am 99% sure it has never been fired. I bought it years ago in the box, no signs it had ever been fired, the plug screws were still in the receiver. I intended to shoot and hunt with it, but now that I have been bit by the Africa bug need to clear out some space for bigger bore rifles. I mounted a period correct Leupold 2-7 scope with old style arched logo in Weaver QR bases, I adjusted (3.25 pounds) and corrected the Walker trigger, and I glass bedded the front of the receiver and recoil lug. The barrel channel is unmodified other than the glass bedded lug, the pressure point is still intact. I never did shoot it, and decided that maybe someone else could put it to good use. It is surprisingly light, weighing under 7 pounds with scope bases, lighter than other 700 BDLs I have owned. The box is definitely showing its age but is still mostly intact. When I bought it it came with one sling swivel and a leather sling in the box. I am not certain the sling is complete, I have not unwrapped it, but seems to be less leather there than I would expect. I believe the sling was included with these when new. A few minor impressions in the stock, I have pictured the two worst. I attempted to research what a new 700 BDL was selling for, but couldn't find any on Gunbroker, Buds, or Sportsmans Warehouse, not sure if the new RemArms is actually producing any currently, and if they are I would personally rather have a 52 year old unfired one.

I will sell it for $1250.00 without scope but with bases, or $1500.00 with scope shipped in the United States to your FFL from an individual. I will accept bank checks, bank or USPS money orders, or personal check held until clearing. I used this rifle to demonstrate my fix for the evils of the Walker trigger, here is the video for those interested.

The bolt locks shut when safety is on, and the floating connector safety issue with the 700 trigger has been eliminated. This is something I do to all my Remington 700s that I hunt with. If you want it, please post here followed by a PM. Thanks !

Slick rig. I'm with you on the older rifle!

Here is a pic that better shows the figure in the buttstock.

Are you in Anchorage?

Very nice wood, just want to know , is the wood on off side

blemished in the finish or is it just a reflection of the light, hard to tell from pic. I mean the trigger and below the scope area., thanks.

There are two small blemishes on left hand side of rifle, both are pictured with pencil pointing to them. Otherwise it must be a reflection. Kinda hard to take good pics with shiny finish. Here is a pic I just took, does this include area you are describing ?

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is 239 565-8988. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
