Which firearm do you have to most fun shooting

SAA Colts in 44-40 and the '92 Winchester in the same cartridge, followed by the 9.3x74R DR. I have a set of 22LR inserts for the 9.3x74R that are surprisingly accurate out to 50 yards, making it a fun plinker as well; extends the time playing with it.

A year ago last fall I picked up an Umarex Hammer Carbine in .50 cal. I already have moulds from 367gr. to 520gr.(385, 420 and 450 inbetween) The rifle is supposed to be suitable with round balls at about 200gr. to cast bullets of any alloy, from 300 to 560gr.
I did some preliminary shooting with some 385gr. at 50 yds. & groups were very decent, first time out, running 2"or so. Need more time at the range with it and testing with more bullets. The ones I used were pure lead. I want to try some harder bullets. I have a bunch sized down to .510" in 367gr.(same mould). It'll have to wait for spring. The Umarex Carbine gives 4 shots from a fill. The rifle handles nicely. Takes a bit of practice with the 2shot magazines. The second shot is much faster than a bolt action rifle. Hopefully, I'll get a whitetail buck with it next fall. Those deer were the reason for me buying it.
Oh, you need an air supply and a 2 cylinder water cooled compressor would be a good idea. Needs to be a 4,500psi compressor. This rifle has a 3,000psi regulator, so each shot "gets" 3,000psi behind it.
This or the longer barreled versions would be the only .50's I would buy. AEA makes the ZEUS in .58 and .72. Those would be even better. I wanted the .72, but not available in Canada - yet. THAT is a beast of an air rifle. Bullets over 1,000gr. if you want.

My EDC Les Baer .45 It is a joy to shoot and leaves me smiling and happy.

It is on me everyday and everywhere legally allowed to carry. It saved me from an attempted carjacking in 2011. I shoot it regularly enough to have worn it out and have it rebuilt.

My 12 gauge 3” Magnum Beretta Model 626E with a full choke left barrel & a modified choke right barrel (single selective trigger). I bought it brand new in May, 1989. It’s the gun I use the most regularly. I estimate that in the last 37 years (and counting !) over 3000 bar headed geese & greylag geese have fallen to it. To say nothing of ducks, upland birds, rabbits, Axis deer, Muntjac deer & wild boar.

I wouldn’t replace it with anything if you even offered me a brand new James Purdey & Sons sidelock ejector.

Hunter-Habib,
For the deer buckshot or slugs?

Russ

Slugs, I'd use. Too many deer lost in Ontario with buckshot. My cousin swithed to ww 3" fosters & quit losing deer. 1 shot, dead deer.
My 25" Mossy puts 5 3" WW 1 oz Fosters @1,750fps into 2" elbow rest at 30yds. Same accuracy with Qualandy DGS slugs at 1,610fps.493gr.(Challenger Ammo)

With all the SHOT show videos and ads for new gadgets and guns being posted - what do you have the most fun with? What rifle/pistol/shotgun brings you the most smiles? For me it’s probably my Vudoo 22 when my kids and I are competing against each other. Yes I love my 375 H&H and my 450 Alaskan; enjoy shooting clays; shoot NRL Hunter; am drawn to the lines and machine work of top shelf 1911s; marvel at freedom arms revolvers and the feel of my Parkwest single shot, but that little 22 always produces a lot of smiles and goes through a lot of ammunition.
@Llano Estacado
I enjoy shooting all my rifles but the one that brings the most smiles to my face is my little Bruno NO2 with a 16.5" barrel and Winchester black box sub sonics. It have a specific scope with hash marks out to 200 yards. Setting up empty cans at 150-200 yards and popping these is great fun. We won't mention the amount of misses but the hits bring a smile to the dial. My hit rate is greatly improved and this helps with shooting my bigger toys at longer ranges ( not that it's needed very often). Plus it helps that I can have a bucketful of fun for just a few dollars instead of a few dollars a shot
What's not to like.

My S&W Registered Magnum,357 magnum, mfg in 1937 with custom Keith Brown stocks. It is my favorite revolver.

That gun is 89 years old??? Wow it looks immaculate! Wish it was easier to own those up here.
Thanks! Less than 5500 made from 1935 to 1939. I do not have the original box, grips and registration certificate though but did obtain a letter from S&W authenticating it. If you ever come across an older S&W N frame .357, pre Model 27 with no model number stamped, open up the cylinder and look to see if “REG” is stamped on the frame, then it is a Registered Magnum, very rare and desirable.

Any high quality rimfire. I shoot at least 100x rimfire for every big bore center fire round.

You bet, I use the old tried & true duce aka .222 Rem! :LOL:
@F. Vaccaro
I love it when people rave about their fast twist you bute highly accurate tacticool 223 with a scope that can count the rings of Saturn and I bring out my 45-50 year old REM 788 in 222 REM with a budget 3-9 scope and shoot similar or smaller groups than their wizz bang stuff.
I just smile inwardly and stroll away leaving the wondering what the hell just happened.
Bob

I think it might be easier if it were guns you have the least fun shooting.
@Saul
I can honestly say the 243 wouldn't make that list. I have never shot one and never will as long as my arse points to the ground. Therfore I can conclude young Watson I can't say whether I would have fun or no fun with it

I just want to KNOW FOR CERTAIN if you are set in your opinion about the 243.

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
