Picked up the gals some jugs for Christmas. Wife wondered why I had all these new black jugs that seem awfully similar to so many other black jugs I already have. Lol. Gave her the full explanation, and how these were also all the same lot and at days gone by prices. I think she caught on.

Great to see someone using reloader 15. What calibers are you loading and what velocities are you getting.

Only used for 470 and 450 3 1/4” so far, but have a couple 450/400’s and a 500 that I need to work up loads for and likely at least try and see how it does in my 505.

I posted during load development on my 450 3 1/4”, which shot everything pretty stellar, but also found this batch a bit faster I think than a friend/fellow forum member who helped with initial loads. I had to back off a few grains to match same velocities.

My standard joke is that my litmus test for a good duck season is whether I ended the season with the same wife and the same job as I started the season.

Y'all will be happy to know that I'm still married to my high school sweetheart (we graduated in 1982). I have, however, been summarily fired just before the duck season once. It came with a golden parachute and I had a great duck season...

Wow. I'd do the same if I ran into that much RL 15. I think I'm down under 15lbs now. Dare I ask the price per keg? Assuming those are 5lb's, also?

@Wildwillalaska Well done! Strike while the iron is hot.

Last time I bought RL 22 was 5 years ago and I got the maximum allowed of 2-5lbs jugs. Before that, it was a 3 year drought.

When I bought my .470, I bought an 8lbs jug of 3031 and thought it would last for life, 6 years later it’s 1/2 empty.

Smidge over $300. They had a bunch of RL16 as well, so kind of slow-rolled the RL15 till I decided which I’d likely use the most, since I have way more Varget and H4350 than I’ll ever use. I told myself I’d just buy one keg each time I picked up a gun. So took me a couple months. Lol.

Its weird its in Alaska but no where else .I bought the only new keg i saw in Alaska thos summer for my 416 rem mags .

It’s powder they got back in 2023 I think. They got about what other places did, just takes them a lot longer to sell it. The place is a local AK chain that’s mostly in rural areas.

Will:
you have enough R15 to fuel all your doubles and mine too. And all wives tell us "you have a problem" but God save you if you ever suggest that she could even have a small problem.

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
