Even if I agreed with Crocketts views I would have a hard time voting for her, I can’t get past her atrocious grammar and mannerisms.
Pretty shallow of me but for some reason I want my representatives to sound somewhat educated. She panders to the crowd she is speaking to like many politicians and I just can’t handle it.

I believe she does that BS purposefully.. ghetto queen is far from who Jasmine Crockett really is.. its all just show for her inner city constituents in Dallas..

she attended a fairly well regarded private, all girls, catholic high school in St. Louis that is an accredited college prep school that has been rated the #1 private school in the state of Missouri in the past.. Im betting the nuns there dont tolerate a whole lot of low rent theatrics..

she earned her bachelors at Rhodes College in Memphis.. Rhodes is an outstanding school (that most people have never heard of).. the average GPA of students admitted to Rhodes is 3.92 (not allowing for escalation for AP classes, etc) and even though almost exclusively only truly bright, academic minded students apply, they still have less than a 50% acceptance rate (consider that the avg acceptance rate across all universities in the US is about 73%)..

she then earned a JD at the University of Houston, passed the bar, and practiced law prior to running for office..

I can almost guarantee that her inner city ghetto queen routine was not on display at her exclusive all girls high school, nor were they on display at Rhodes, or in law school, or when she worked for Bowie County (Texarkana) as a public defender.. that bullshit didnt start until she started running for Eric Johnsons vacated TX House seat thats right in the center of the inner city, full of section 8 housing, projects, etc.. she realized she needed look, act, and speak more like her constituents if she wanted to get elected... so the show began..

Sadly that tells you exactly what she thinks of her constituents.. she clearly has no respect for them at all... and even more sadly, they apparently dont see it..

She is not from the inner city.. she doesnt know what its like to be poor.. she doesnt know what its like to be "oppressed".. or any of the other bullshit she spouts.. she absolutely has been trained and educated to have and use proper grammar and proper manners.. and has used proper grammar and manners most of her adult life to be able to accomplish the things she has accomplished..

its all a game..

in my view that genuinely makes her a stinking pile of shit of a human..

I am extremely confident that the Texas voters won’t elect her and it should be a blow out if she makes it through the primary.

It was.. but she shouldnt have had too much of a problem with it.. basically her district was compacted and made smaller, but it added a significant number of inner city black voters.. she was probably going to be safe in the next election...

why she chose not to seek re-election to the house and instead decided to abandon that position and make a run for senate doesnt make a lot of sense to me...

but... Im certainly glad she did... I dont think she has a chance in hell in a statewide election.. she lacks the "Beto Effect".. youve got to cross outside of the black vote and appeal to not just other minorities.. youve got to get middle class white women to support you as well..

Karen will vote for Beto.. she'll even vote for Biden.. but she aint voting for a projects princess..

What will be interesting is if Crockett suddenly changes her speech and demeanor in an attempt to appeal to Karen... Ala Hillary trying to act "black" and "latina"... didnt work for Hillary.. at this point I doubt it will work for Crockett either.. but she might try...

I am worried about the republican primary fight. Paxton has become the darling of the YouTube conspiracy embracing wing of the MAGA movement - which sadly seems to be growing. Cronyn is an actual statesman who understands how things really get done in Congress. But of course that makes him despised by the MAGA minions as a swamp thing. I am very much worried whoever wins will drive a lot of republicans to stay home. Beto would have a shot this year. I hope Crocket is sufficiently loathsome to not be able to pull it off.

I agree with you.. Im actually sort of surprised that Beto hasnt dusted off his campaign hat and announced that hes chasing 2026.. I think he might would have a chance... much like Bush-Perot.. R's in TX are pretty divided, and I dont see much going on to unify them..

I think Cronyns major mistake has been not presenting himself as a hard core 2A supporter.. in TX thats really a necessity if you want to keep the attention of the conservatives.. he gets painted fairly regularly as being soft on D gun control demands.. outside of that, I dont think there is much for the MAGA movement to bitch about with him.. but he certainly isnt the darling of the far right..

If you ever read a TX specific hunting forum that has a pretty big local membership, Cronyn gets hammered there with some regularity (I read there a whole lot more than I post, which is very infrequently).. While I dont know many of the membership there, I get the picture that most are from the smaller cities throughout the state.. theres not as much of a Houston/Dallas/San Antonio/Austin presence there as there is here..

Given Crockett's educational accomplishments characterizing her as stupid or a fool is a perilous path. I agree she is dishonest and a liar, but she is not stupid. It would be a tragedy for the state were she to somehow be elected. I've been seeing that Republicans are delighted that she is running for the senate. Remember, Democrats were delighted that Trump was running in 2016.

Given the division on the right, of Crockett gets the nomination, it will be yet another example of Democrats running away from any possible advantage in order shoot themselves in the foot.

Much like MAGA, I see the modern left as terminally online and poisoned by social media, leading to candidates like Crockett.

Until Democrats start winning purple state governance, they are going to be unable to cultivate the talent necessary to wrest control of the party back from the fringe.

I don’t think she’s stupid at all. You can’t get where she’s gotten in life without a fairly good measure of intellect..

I do think she’s a fool… whether using the clown definition, or the definition that states a fool is someone that is arrogant, close minded, reckless, careless, and uses poor choices for words… I think she’s meets either choice readily…

What I think more than anything is she’s a self absorbed, manipulative, race baiting, turd of a human, that’s willing to sell her soul in the interest of personal gain and power…

I’m generally speaking a pretty passive guy when it comes to other people… I genuinely don’t care if someone is black, white, yellow, brown, or green… could care less if they are old or young, fat or skinny, gay or straight, Christian, Muslim, gnostic, atheist, or Shinto.. male, female…liberal or conservative… it doesn’t matter… just be a decent human being and you and I will get along just fine…

Well that JD from UH, she did not start there. She started at Texas Southern. The worst law school in the state and the easiest to get into. Horrible bar pass rates. That's not to say they don't turn out some fine lawyers, they do. But she was a transfer student. Now what the reasons for attending TSU, I don't know, but it's a traditionally black law school. It was originally set up to keep black law student of UT.

Now as to her seat, I understood that she redistricted out of her district. But not 100% sure on that. Of course, for congress you don't have to live in the district to represent the district.

Don't stereotype the MAGA crowd. I am MAGA, and contrary to popular belief, we are not blind followers of Trump, his policy's, actions, statements, etc. Trump does many things I personally don't agree with, or support.
Many of those that support MAGA have critical thinking capabilities, and we can make up our own minds, without collectively being stigmatized as a bunch of Appalachian hillbilly types with low IQ's, driving blindly behind cult laden conspiracy theories.
Unlike many on the left, we do not march to the beat of the political party war drum and echo chamber, and/or, the media narratives.

My apologies, no offense intended. With all political movements, there is a certain segment that takes things way too far and can give everyone a bad name. Unfortunately, MAGA is not immune from such bad actors.

I am not sure where you get this impression of Democrats, but Biden was hardly popular with the base, and especially reviled by the radical left.

Our entire system is screwed. Judges can do anything they want with apparently no oversight. THEN they escape prosecution when one of their social experiments kills someone.

A review of court records by WJAR showed she's been charged with crimes in a dozen Rhode Island cities and towns. The longest prison sentence she served for any of the offenses was just over two years.

Most of her criminal cases ended the same way, with her pleading no contest and receiving suspended sentences, meaning she didn't go to prison. She had been court ordered into substance abuse counselling seven times, most recently in April.

I was mostly talking of the democrats in leadership roles, congress, governors and so forth. I can’t recall many times when any democrats voted against his policies, I seriously doubt all of them believe in open borders, boys in girls locker rooms and sports but they went along and defended them daily.
There are still a lot of fine everyday people that are democrats but they just aren’t as vocal.
