Hi, I hunted with PH Shingi when he was a freelancer. Elephant trails were just newly established then. We talked about it a lot. I can recommend him. My report is here on AH. I haven't seen Camp, Matetsi has a good name and reputation. PH and Team were great - see report.

Felt the need to register just so I can tell you yes, I've hunted with them 
My buffalo hunt took place fairly recently in October 2024. I didn't hunt them then, but I think it's worth mentioning that their hunting areas also had an intense amount of elephants and lions.
I believe, and I know I am not alone with this, that the most important thing for a PH and a safari operator to do is to leave the client with great memories, a sense of having been on an adventure and a yearning to return to Africa. Elephant Trails did exactly that for me. Shingi is an experienced PH and really looks after the client.

I hunted with them in June 2025, this a true wild experience and I was fortunate to hunt cape buffalo, hippo and a few impalas in 7 days. The service and food was amazing, the hunt was successful and all of the team very cool and hard working people, from the chef, to the skinner, PH, mechanic… and Zimbabwe is a hunting paradise. They have a new camp by the river with wifi, very relaxing and they give you best service. If you look for a wild hunting trip, with no fences, I recommend them.
I recently hunted with Elephant Trails Safaris. Everything went exactly as expected. The camp was very comfortable, the organization handled everything smoothly, and the entire experience was professionally managed. I’m very satisfied and would definitely recommend them.

I just got back yesterday from hunting with Elephant Trails. My buddy and I had a great hunt and I would not hesitate to go with them again. I will write up a hunt report in a separate post.
