on a lighter note...

17 girl was attached by presumably by a bull shark just the other day. Unfortunately fatal!
Very sad. She was a co captain of the the life guard there too! 100 m out from the shore.
Condolences to her family and friends.

I don’t think I could ever cheat on my wife. I’ve been having a hard enough time getting by with my gun buying. There is no way I could get by with an affair.

First I get a full color catalog that Rock Island Auctions sent me by fed ex unsolicited. Then the questions begin. Why did they send you this? What did you buy? I know they are sending these books out to everyone!!!

Then tonight:

Her: what did you buy at Krieghoff for $2,000.00 dollars???

Me: Who Snitched???

Her: You left the receipt in your pocket dumbass!!

Me: Oh, I thought I mentioned I ordered a set of barrels.

I didn’t break the news that it was only a deposit. I’ll have to be a little more cautious when they are ready.

That could have been me with my wife playing the “20 questions” game. Glad it was you this time. LOL

You guys are going about it all wrong. Separate bank accounts, retirement accounts, pensions, charge cards, etc. relieves one of all "what/why, where are you spending that money"? YMMV.

Maybe so, but I've found it's easier to plead ignorance and stupidity later and buy what you want now, than to ask permission beforehand. Remember, "all gun and ammo sales are final". LOL

They don't eat lawyers. Professional courtesy, d'y'see.

I solved that problem before we got married.

I told her that as long as she didn't raise a stink about me buying a "toy" every year or 3, she'd never get any grief from me about her buying clothes, shoes, makeup, hair, nails, etc.

12 years in, she'll occasionally roll her eyes, but no grief.

When my LH 404J came up for sale on GB, I told her "well, there's a LH 404J for sale on GB, but I think it's too expensive."

"What...like $10K?"

"Nah, only 2500."

"Sounds like you need to buy it before somebody else does."

Matter of fact, the only real grief I got over buying a new gun was the 375 H&H I bought for her - a Ruger #1H Tropical.

"I wanted a gun with a magazine."

"Babe, you suffer the same LH affliction I do. Finding a lefty in 375 wouldn't be as much of a challenge as my 404, but it could take a couple years."

"Yeah, but you always make a big deal about being fast on the reload."

"True, but what you've got going for you is a PH who'll be well-armed, and me with a 404. Learn to reload as quickly as you can, but there'll be 2 other people sending lead downrange if the need arises."

That satisfied her.

Does she have a sister?

When will we man up to enforce the law on these stupid cat shelters? Introducing non-native animals to the ecosystem is a crime everywhere. The stupid cat people think if they trap/neuter/release them they've done a good deed. They've committed a crime.

P.S. - 100% of cats found on my property are shot on sight. I love native wildlife far more than some irresponsible pet owner's feral cat progeny.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
