As I try to downsize getting ready for a move I have a lot of best gun cases I've saved up over the years. I think roughly 20 hard cases and 5-6 soft leg-o-mutton cases.

Prices vary from $150 for european made post war cases to $700 for 1960-era new old stock Brady cases made in England all the way up to $1500-$1800 for oak and leather best double rifle cases for Jeffery and Holland doubles. Many cases include maker's labels worth $50-$500 in them.

The favor I ask of the readers as I tried to sell some of these previously, please respect my time. If you say to me the gun case of a known established price "must fit my purple and blue polkadot purdey with trapazoidal stock of two cubits" and I measure the damned cases up down and sideways and its a perfect match sending you pictures and providing phone consulting, you can't say "hmm, let me think about it some more". I remember burning about 6 hours on two AH members with loads of pictures and photos that we concluded were absolutely exactly the correct fit and era for their very odd guns and they decided they didn't want them anyway. Just be reasonable with my time dedicated trying to help you and I'll make sure you're getting a case that will work.

Some of the highlights:

Purdey motor case for a pair of 20 bores.
Jeffery Oak & Leather case for a circa 1910 333 Jeffery Flanged Double Rifle
Holland & Holland Oak & Leather case with leather maker's label for a 1930 era 375HH Flanged Double Rifle
Leather and Canvas turn of the century rook rifle case (moritmer label affixed)
New Old Stock Canvas and Leather small bore SxS cases from 1960 (one with a Greener/Scott maker's label)
New Old Stock Leather Brady Cases from about 1960 for an OU or SxS that can easily fit double rifles. (three of them)
Circa 1900 English Leather lightweight safari case. (probably for a hammer rifle originally)
Inexpensive English Shotgun case in canvas for a SxS with a Bombay retailer's label from 1930-1940
New Old Stock Pigskin English Pair Case with brass corners
A french or belgian shotgun or double rifle case in leather from 1960-1980 (VC or Chapuis label)
1970s Spanish shotgun case with embossed ostrich hide. ( I think its embossed? small chance its real)
Loads of leg-o-mutton cases in various states of need of refurbishment but they are cheap and charming

Leg of mutton cases that need Some repairs start at $50. Hard cases start at $150. New old stock Brady cases are $700. Best oak and leather double rifle cases go up to $1800. There’s a lid for every pot.

Thanks.

And, as they say in the used car industry... "there's an ass for every seat!"

one vintage new-old-stock leather Brady English case sold to @Mississippian

I should mention, if someone wants custom fitting of cases done for them, I will be dropping off some of the cases at FEI gun cases and getting a repair pickup of my own in the next 1-2 weeks. (they are about 3 hours from my home)

If you want the case hand delivered to them for adjustments I'm willing to do that for anyone, you just send them the outlines of your barrels, action, and accessories and they will move compartments and make lids, etc. I've had them do custom compartments or change the interior lining for anywhere from $50-$175 depending on the complexity of the customizations, french fitting, etc, etc.

*Note: I'm not the case customization people, I just find them to be honest and reliable case restoration people. Quotes for custom work are always between you and their company.

Hello @rookhawk, do you have any full length rifle cases?

Something that could work well with my Dumoulin Centurion? Not for travelling, only for accessorizing.

I do not, sadly. All are for take-apart double rifles, shotguns, and single shots.

Status update:

@Sdvarminter your three leg-o-mutton cases have been packaged. Tracking sent. FedEx picks them up Monday.

@Vagrouser , your oak and leather H&H double rifle case has been packaged. Tracking sent. FedEx picks it up Monday.

@Mississippian your new old stock brady case sits in my office. I tried to reach FEI Gun Cases to schedule the two hour drive to Beloit, WI to drop it off today. They didn't get back to me. I'll attempt to deliver to them again next weekend. If you grow weary of delays, at any time and at my expense, I will ship the case directly to you via FedEx.

Bumping this thread up again. I'll be trying to make the out of state drive to the custom case lining and modification guy later this week. If anyone wants a case but needs it "custom fitted" I can deliver your purchase to the case fitter and then you just mail him over a traced outline of your gun and accessories to do the necessary modifications for a custom fit.

Most of the cases are already fitted for various calibers and gauges so let me know your gun type, caliber or gauge, O/U or SxS, length of barrels and action, I may have one ready-fit in the collection.

Beautiful selection. Love the falconry hoods as you know!

Do you have an old Boss/ Robertson marked case 12 ga sxs 28”

Do you have an old Boss/ Robertson marked case 12 ga sxs 28”

I have many cases suitable for a 12ga 28” SxS. I’m sure we can find a Boss trade label for it. Feel free to PM and we can chat or setup a call to measure out your gun and whatever accessories you have and see what matches.

All items shipped (and I believe received).

Drove 2 hours yesterday to hand deliver @Mississippian case to FEI for further fit instructions.

In addition, I picked up a beautiful rare case I sent out to have new straps fashioned. It's a Purdey motor case for a 12 or 16 bore Purdey with 28"-28-1/2" barrels. Exterior marked purdey. Inside the lip marked purdey. A rare and beautiful motor case. Last one I saw sell went for $1400, I'll take $1050 for it.

Ok thanks, let me see how hard to find a Robertson trade label (it was made during the time he bought the company 1903ish) and I’ll get back to you
