Looking to let go of my CZ 550 Kevlar in 9.3x62. Rifle has less than 10 rounds and will include 2.5 boxes of 286g Hornady Dangerous Game. Simply just don't have a good application this caliber. Will meet FTF in Houston or San Antonio and asking $1600.

Shipping is easy depending on where it goes. If Cal or NJ, NY, its dicey for some things but bolt actions are OK about anywhere.
I use FedEx mostly now as USPS has become so unreliable, never scan anything, stuff gets stuck in places, no one knows where it went. They usually turn up eventually but its most annoying.
Box it up with good packing, bolt out wrapped separately and ship it to the buyers FFL, that he will provide the info for.
UPS is OK too, depends on how handy they are. I can drop off Fed Ex boxes in town with a prepaid label done on line. Easy peasy.

That is good to know, I had no idea it was that simple.

I’m in San Antonio.

Would you want to trade even trade for a Ruger No. 1 S in .30-06?

Hawk

It has the Ruger rings, and has a 2-7x32mm Vortex scope to go with it.
Rifle is in excellent condition.

So as far as the rifle goes...did you not like the way it shot or was there an accuracy issue with it or ???

Fedex is the only way to go anymore for long guns. They have much better communication and UPS/OOPS has damaged 2 very high end rifles and were a pain to deal with for insurance! They ruined a NIB pre 64 model 70 alaskan which was beauiful and when it arrived in TX it literally had a tire track almost all the way down the box! LOL! Things happen but seems like they happen much less with FEDEX super saver or what ever its called...takes four business days or less and is normally on time.

Just as an indicator, I have insurance for my firearms that also covers loss in transit between myself and a gunsmith etc. as long as signature is required at the recipient. They will NOT cover any losses if the firearms are shipped via UPS.

FedEx advised me to use US Postal for a long gun, which I did earlier this year.

I cannot imagine why they would do that, sounds fishy to me. Was it just some dweeb at the local or a person of some import?

I used USPS for quite some time to ship rifles but when they started having so many issues with losing things and not seeming to give a rats butt, I moved over to FedEx and had no problems since.

Lady behind the counter. Saved me >$50, IIRC.

I avoid UPS also due to their refusal to cover repairs on a broken forearm (Beretta O/U) years ago.

Not recently I bet. USPS is just as expensive as the others. None are cheap, time you add insurance.

Plus, any FedEx store will take a firearm. A lot of UPS stores won't accept them. They make you take the firearm to the local UPS freight depot.
UPS is very irritating to say the least. My local UPS store wouldn’t ship my scope because it was firearm related. I was not happy

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
