Testing the waters here to see if anyone wants this before it goes for sale locally. It is a remington 721 in 300 h&h. I ditched the factory stock and stamped bottom metal. It has Williams one piece bottom metal and a Mcmillan remington classic stock. The action has been glass bedded. Gun shoots well. The barrel does not look to have had many rounds through it. Bluing is in very good shape. Talley bases will stay on but the scope and rings are not included. Asking 1000 shipped in the lower 48. I have that much into the mcmillan and the bottom metal.

I’d buy it, But pretty sure my wife would argue I don’t need 9 30 caliber rifles, two of them Super 30s.

@tarbe just remind her that you have sold a number of rifles recently and you have been social distancing so you could have a classic 300 H&H feeling lonely. Good score

Years ago I had a 721 in 300H&H and foolishly rebarreled to 458 lott that a friend had to have

Nice rifle!

What is the length of pull? Thanks.

Damn Tempting

I can't believe you guys actually tell your wives what you buy! Look at all the problems that being honest has caused @Bullthrower338 ...

Do you still have the factory stock

Damn, I just can't deal with composite stocks
Well looking at ebay you can get an original stock for about 180 bucks, the McMillan was 600 new so even selling it as a used stock you should more than even out. You can also use any remington 700 stock, you will just need to modify it slightly for the bolt handle

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
