Did you all hear the latest military threat from China? They threatened to use an EMP against U.S military ships that enter the south China sea, thay they illegally claim as Chinese territory.

Good that you recognize your weaknesses, but I can tell you from personal experience that the anxiety can be overcome, and buried in a deep hole to never see the light of day again.

Being a Daddy is certainly stressful at times, but if you do your job, the payoff for it is more reward than anything you can possibly imagine. I'm sure nearly every Daddy on this forum can back me up on this. You really cannot imagine the abundance of joy your own children can bring you. Nothing can prepare you for those highs.

Yea if I can get personal, I'm not planning to become a father once I get older. I'm a naturally high stress and anxiety person and while I'm decent with small children, the stress of parenthood would literally kill me. However, the last thing I want is for America to have the same problem as Japan.

Don't say never because it just may happen. When you realize what you are missing you may very well change your mind. Sure, kids will test you to your limits but the rewards of seeing them grow and mature are worth more than all the gold in the world. To be a part of their achievements and the pride in seeing their accomplishments is priceless. Then when they bring their little ones home to Grampa words cannot begin to describe the love and pride you will feel.

Take it from a Grampa who has two kids, five grandkids and five great grandkids. Invaluable.
And to paraphrase a verse from the Holy Bible, "A man is not complete until he has reproduced himself."

The other thing to keep in mind is that you may be stable and financially secure one day and the next can change everything. Just imagine how secure many thousands thought they were a few weeks ago and how quickly things have changed. Love is not dependant on finances to be real and a lifelong commitment.

Pretty damning dont you think? Shows where and how the politicians were making their money and whom almost all on both sides have been working for. I truly believe the realization of what was coming under Trump is why so many Reps didn't run for re-election in 2018. I believe this as much as I believe Dems want him gone for the exact same reasons.

I find it laughable that what started with a hit on organized and unorganized labor back in the 80's has filtered to mostly all professions except academia. With AOC and Elizabeth Warren amongst other noteworthy examples, there seems to be a dearth of accountability with the institutions of "higher" learning.

Don't overlook the political incentives (taxes and regulations), espoused primarily by liberals, which hastened the departure of lots of manufacturing away from the US.

I've probably asked this a dozen times on this thread alone: what would happen to the US economy if the income tax were done away with entirely? Not only would American companies come back home, but every business in the world with the capital to do so would domicile themselves and their operations here as well. This is such an obvious no-brainer, IMO, that the only thing conceivably standing in the way of it is the corruption in DC and Wall Street.
