So we are out and about on 25k+ hunting area in South Africa and we stumbled on this gentleman. We passed on him though and we're out again this morning . Wish us luck

Definitely wish you luck.

So I gotta ask. Why the pass? I have never hunted buff and I'll take every opportunity to learn.... Bruce

My very humble opinion is the boss. The boss doesn't seem to be really hard. A hard worn boss is a good indication of a mature animal. This buff looks big but doesn't have the look of a mature bull. Again just my humble observation......

That's my take too, but the pictures aren't clear enough for me to see if it has a boss. Could be April fools as it is a pretty nice sized specimen. People too often shoot a soft horned 40" in lieu of a mature hard boss 38" dugga boy. The soft fellow is still studding the herd and protecting it and has a role to play. The dugga boy has done his bit and is now in retirement.

I've seen some huge dead buffalo photos lately of some very young animals....It's rather sad.

Hi back for lunch. Yes we passed on this guy because of the fact that his bosses where not developed yet

We left real early this morning again and saw a bunch more bulls and passed two hard bossed bulls because of spread

We returned for lunch and ran into this mammoth once in a lifetime springbuck ram

That is a dandy springbuck and one never to pass on that is for sure. Good luck on the buff

Nice springbuck.

Great springbuck. Congrats to you and your client. Bruce

As noted above - one heck of a springbuck. Looking at your site, this seems to be a self-sustaining buffalo herd? If so, your offerings are very competitive. Best of luck to you and your client.

Incredible springbok..... stronger than I on the Buff..... I might have had to let lead fly

Great Springbok !

Can someone say springbok backstraps for dinner? What a great ram.....

Well chaps just got in and we had a good day

We finally connected on a good bull . He was one of 12 Bulls we saw at a water hole

We watched them for 2 hrs before they finally got up and started moving off.
We had to start a small stalk once they moved off and connected with a tank !! We looked through 35 buff bulls in 4 days.

We managed to get a 80-100 year shot on a magnificent bull.

I love hunting buff on big areas. This is just another day in the life of an African Pro hunter.

Like those bosses!

dandy buff. He has done well that is for sure.

nice scruffy bull.

Nice bull.

My guess is your client figured he had best take the shot on the Springbok because you were reaching for his rifle.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
