Namibia Exportable Elephant Bull Hunt 2016

James nice offer.

@CAustin , my avatar is a 72 pounder taken with a bow......would I do it again...I don't think so.....add another 0 on the 27k, I might begin to think about it.

I am curious, what was the issue on taking the elephant with the bow that makes you hesitant to do it again? I just started with the bow about 5 months ago but was able to take a Cape buffalo in August in Thabazimbi and got a total pass through on it. It was actually my first time hunting so I don't have a lot of experience to go on. I know the elephant is larger and has a tougher hide, but it is that much more difficult to hunt the the buffalo or just the extra size that is the concern?

(and sorry for the thread hijack - I would be interested in this except for the restriction on bow hunting in Namibia).

It just depends if you can get a nice broadside shot on that elephant. I have a few friends that have been successful using a stick and string.

This is an Awesome deal James what other animals can be added to this hunt? and what would extra day cost?

I'm $26,000 short...damn

Great offer on elephant! One of these days!

Best of luck finding a taker.

This is incredible. Why did I just buy a farm... This is a better use of the money

I have a hunting outfitter north of Etosha park with one bull Elephant left this year. Hunt need to be taken before the end of November.

These are big body bulls and ivory average is 30-35 lbs. They do get bigger and there is no charge for larger ivory, with some Elephant bulls going 50 lbs per side in the area.

The Elephant hunt is 10 days long and is based from a bush style tented camp and hunter should be able to walk at least a couple miles per day. You will need to fly into and out of Windhoek.

The Elephant hunt is $27,000 USD all in. If for some reason an Elephant is not taken the trophy fee of $20,000 is refundable.

dam,i hate being old and broke.

I've been home 1 week from my Sable/Buff hunt and my Namibian outfitter emails he has a leopard tag left for 2016 and I should come. With just getting home, hunting seasons in full swing and existing work load, I just can not make it. I'm booked for 2017 though.

Let's hope we can still import leopard next year. I too am going back for the great cat if we can import.

Or bow hunting. They allow it for plains game, but not for dangerous game.
