The airline I will be flying with on my next trip mandate the use of original unopened boxes for ammo.

I will be reloading and don't really want to buy factory ammo just for the cardboard.

Does anyone have any boxes spare that they can send to me please? The cases will be Hornady.

I'm in no rush as my trip is next year.

I'm in the UK so I'm expecting to pay postage etc.

I reached out to the members of AH a few years ago for 375HH and got a quick response, I'm sure someone will jump in and help you out.

Did you ask in the classified section or somewhere else?

I can probably help out, but are you absolutely sure you need original factory ammo boxes? I've seen the airline requirements that state something to that effect, but has anyone ever been denied boarding on this? I would send an email to the airline (perhaps you've already done this) and really quiz them on this. It seems the plastic boxes that reloaders typically put their ammo in are better and safer than a carboard box.

I will be back home (in the US) in August and can sort through my empties and come up with some boxes.

Thankyou for that.

I've flown with them before and even though I had something else confirmed in writing the girl at checkin refused to deviate from the published rules. I'll be screwed if the ammo is stopped from traveling.

I'd prefer to use plastic boxes (but can't) and as soon as I land I'll transfer ammo over to protect the cardboard from wear and tear.

send me a PM, let me know how many boxes you need and mailing details.

Did it the same way your doing it,,you may want to post your request in the 375 and up section also, altho they tend to frown upon anybody who doesn't shoot 400 or larger they may take pity on you:)

I wanted bigger, but the 375 was the biggest that I could easily get permission for from the UK police.

I think it should do all I need. Even though it is a small bore weapon by AH standards.

@Eddie P, I love it ! Here in Namibia at the moment using 7x57,30-06 and 303 in our happy little group. We are hunting oryx, tough beasties.
We have had a couple of runners.while tracking the PH said, offhand,to me " why do you guys use such small calibres?" Trying to licence a 375H&H back home . Major life event, questions, interviews, security, yadda yadda yadda.
But there is a nice L/H 375 in Holts

As I've discussed elsewhere, mine is for self defense against polar bears on expeditions.

They couldn't really say no as they are aware that the coroner would ask questions if I was forced to use a lesser calibre by them and ended up dead. Especially as I mentioned the previous incident which resulted in a British school boy dying in my covering letter.

What airline is it?

Just a public thank you to 375 Ruger Fan. They have all arrived safely.

I think this demonstrates the support you folk have for everyone, even us new guys.

Had an excellent classifieds transaction with JoninCO. A truly honest and standup member. I wouldn't hesitate at all to deal with him again. Thanks, J!

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
