More proof that there are a large number of great bullets put there. Any experience with this brand on thin skinned game?

Buffalo and Giraffe are pretty thick skinned almost some of the thickest skinned animals.
What would you be referring to?

Does this brand have a bullet suitable for PG?

Sure they do They have the VGR 2 and VGR3 solid and expandable with matched ballistics VGR 4and VGR5 which are designed for the longer range shooting but on thick skinned Plains Game Take your caliber and load what you like we cannot find fault in them at all as yet.

What caliber do you hunt with ?
Check out thier site http://www.peregrinebullets.co.za/

Thanks! I will look closer. A lot of interesting bullets in SA for sure. I am currently waiting for an order of GS Customs. I plan to use my 375 in Africa but have used my '06 in North America. I now have 6.5x55 with a 20" barrel for my tree stand deer rifle.

Peregrine Bullets do it again!! These points were recovered from a buffalo cow. 375 270gr Peregrine VRG 3 Bushmaster. The first point broke the left leg and was found in the opposite shoulder. The second point was an insurance shot and went through both side's ribs and was recovered under the skin on the other side. Point 1 - 92,5% weight retention. Point 2 - 93% weight retention.

I missed this thread when it first started and now find it after last night seeing an ad for these on Facebook. It would seem a good bullet from the replies in this thread. The bullet doesn't seem to have the vicious looking X that the TSX/TTSX bullets form on expansion. And the mushroom head perhaps is just a bit smaller than what you'd see from a typical lead bullet. But if it kills it kills and the weight retention is very high.

Has anyone in the U.S. ever been able to get these?

Damn I wish I'd been shooting one on my buff hunt. Results woulda been a whole lot different.

Hi Phoenix.
The first shipment of PEREGRINE BULLETS should be in the U.S in August/September. Our agent is based in Gilbert, Arizona. Initially not all the bullets will be available in the U.S but can be shipped from SA.

Maybe some order can be combined to save some on the shipping fee.

They look a lot like the lapua naturalis but they don't seem to expand as much. I would be keen to try these out - does anyone ship these internationally?

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
