Franz-Albrecht Oettingen-Spielberg

He obviously operates in fairly rarified air. However, I genuinely enjoy his series of videos on Roe deer, their management, and hunting older bucks. He also has a couple of interesting ones on red stag and fallow deer. I admit to being somewhat envious of his equipment, though he recently started using the 20 power Alpen vision stabilized binos and that convinced me to purchase the Sig Sauer version which seems to be identical. For judging deer, I have found then revolutionary.

Always enjoy watching him. I wonder if they’ve made any more episodes of Buffalo Fever. He had a least one episode of hunting in the Selous with the famous Zim PH Paddy Curtis

I’ve been watching his red deer, fallow buck and roe deer videos lately. Seems to have a lot of knowledge and history with the animals he harvests.

He is definitely living the dream.

He is obviously naturally talented AND practiced.

I have an archery range at my house but I can not shoot like Levi Morgan.

Met him on the Jagd und Hund convention couple of years ago. Great person and outstanding hunter.
Same Hornady booth.

I actually didn't know anything about him, when I met him. I knew he was a prince or Furth, and that was it.

Actually share his last name. I think it is common in South Eastern Bavaria though. We were probably out there milking his cows as serfs 300 years ago.

I enjoy his videos.

There are a ton of German language content creators that have similar channels, but none are as professionally produced as Franz.

Yep. Still have two of his autographed caps. One for me and one for the wife. He is very professional and relaxed in his videos and in real life. His series on roe bucks was very informing. Learned a lot by watching his videos.

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts

Hi PaulB,
I have a Ballard Arms Model 1885 chambered for .333 Jeffery Flanged. Do you have any idea where I can get ammo for this?

I am new to this forum so I am sorry if I am doing something wrong!
Thank You!
