A really bad day for me {off subject} moniter move as appropriate.

I decided to share this after thinking about all morning , I had to put down my riding mule today after a tragic accident she was like family to me and well trusted ,never failed me. Riden all over Montana ,Wyoming Idaho , Nevada., and on some very precarious trails narrow and on steep ground..
she and my other 2 mules walked out the gate as I was moving hay and went into the orchard like they always do, shoooed out 2 of them but Ginger for what ever mule reason decided to jump over the fence which is not hard for her but she was in a narrow spot and impaled her self on a steel post. I didnt see the post and ran for wire cutters ,upon return I saw there was no way I could save her, she was looking right at me as if to say help me boss, when I put her down. Im sad.
didnt know where to post , this .so sorry. Ginger on left.

Sorry for your loss. I definitely feel your pain, we had to put my daughter’s paint down last summer. Savor the memories!

I'm sorry to hear this. Losing a well loved animal is almost as hard as losing a family member. Take care Bud.

If you ever have to do that again.
Try the cheapest beer you can find.
We did that with a old raining mare . She had hurt her back but was still good with small kids.
A very good friend of the family gave her to me as it was getting to be his time.
She was in her late 20s when he gave her to us
The second winter she started going down.
Beer on alfalfa pellets and frm sweet feed. She lasted 2 years.
Side effect crack a can if she could hear it she came to you. And was very disappointed if it was a coke.
Funny I know but true.

Oh damn brother! My condolences. I’ve had to put down a few. It sucks. Onetime I was awakened by a Sheriff’s Deputy knocking on my door at 2:30am. My mind went immediately to one of my kids being killed! Instead, he informed me that one of my mules, Dozer, had been hit on the Hwy by a semi. He said Dozer was missing a rear hoof. The wife and I got dressed and hooked up a trailer and drove to the flashing lights on the Hwy. We were met by the Brand Inspector and Deputy who both asked why I brought a trailer? I said to load the mule. The BI said I must be crazy. I said, “Watch this.” I walked up to Dozer and he ducked his head into the halter I brought. I slowly walked him to the trailer and he jumped right in. A damn good mule! I had to put him down later that morning. The semi’s front tire tore off his rear hoof but he was otherwise unscathed. One millisecond quicker and the truck would have missed him completely. He was a great riding mule and pack mule. Dozer, me and Jenny below with a big moose.

My three kids that are teens all wanted to buy TSLA stock about 18 months ago in their ROTHs. I approved. It went up 200%, I forced them to sell half to re-balance their portfolios. It’s way up again, but they keep complaining I shouldn't have made them sell off half their shares to invest in QQQs. (Lower risk is my angle, big wins is theirs)
That is very, very wise investment strategy for anyone, especially younger investors! Hedge investments as opportunities present themselves then reset/restart. Not unlike paying down debt to save interest when able to do so.

Absolutely. And never have a college savings plan for a kid. The colleges know their assets based on the FAFSA and literally punish them with less grants/aid because they were savers. A ROTH IRA can be used without penalty for education, BUT it is not a disclosable asset on the FAFSA so it isn't used to calculate the student's means.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc
