Many years ago this gun was purchased knowing that some day I would chase buffalo in Africa. That finally happened, but along the way I decided it would be better to take one gun with several barrels rather than 2 guns so I bought a Blaser. So now this gun needs a new home with some Winchester lover that will take it to Africa where it belongs. I've never fired the gun! This gun is serial number 536043 putting it as being built in 1961. Obviously there is very little wear to the gun and I would call it easily 97% condition with a beautiful bore. The gun is all original with the exception of the bolt which was jeweled by the previous owner and the serial number was removed from the bolt when jeweled. Metal and wood finishes are all original right down to the red Winchester pad which is still soft. Length of pull on the rifle is 13 1/2 inches and the weight is 9 pounds 1 ounce. Price of the gun is $2400 plus actual shipping to your FFL. There is a three day non-firing inspection period with the buyer paying shipping charges if returned. I wanted someone on this site to get a chance at this gun before listing it elsewhere. You will not be disappointed in this rifle.
