Currently looking for options on an aftermarket stock for my Winchester M70 375 H&H Safari Express. Let me know where to look. TIA

Matt

McMillan, HS Precision, or Bell & Carlson all offer M70 synthetics. Some modification may be required in all cases though. Boyd's has laminate options. What type of stock are you looking for?

Synthetic, something rugged that can take abuse if need be. The factory stock is nice but I want another option.

All of those recommended are excellent choices. I’ve got a few rifles with B&C stocks currently, but have owned McM and HS stocks in the past… zero complaints about any of them…

get a hogue over molded stock with the aluminum bedding plate in the stock. sticky, tough, functional.

No. I don’t own one. I think I am down to four. :-). One Echols by McMillan.

I don't own an Echols but I bet I have handled a dozen for as many times as I've visited the shop - they are extremely nice stocks. To me they 'feel' lighter (maybe sveltness?) than they look and everything just seems to fit me great.

It's worth bearing in mind D'Arcy started off as a stockmaker - the guy knows his way around a stick of walnut, and consequently the patterns the synthetic stocks are based on.

Stocky's Stocks is a great place to find a replacement stock. They manage a bunch of different makers...plenty on sale all the time.

D’Arcy has a standard fill and magnum fill in the same profile. Mark Bansner has the same. I spoke with D’Arcy when I was building a lightweight .375 and he said the standard fill would be great. He added some internal crossbolts and all is good.

you can also have Mercury recoil reducers installed in the Bell and Carlson if you want to when they pour the stock but not afterwards

Take a look at AG Composites. Carbon fiber and fiberglass options made by veterans. I’ve been very happy with mine.

I have a AG on my 06 and really do like it I have the Sportsman and like the look and feel of an old school style stock

AG Composites does make a nice stock; I have two Carbon All-Terrains and one Chalk Branch on various rifles. Unfortunately, I don't believe that they do any Model 70 stocks; they focus on Remclones. You could call and ask to be sure, they have excellent customer service and will help you out if possible. That said, if you're going to need to have it completely custom inletted, I'd skip them in favor of some of the other options mentioned that are actually made for a Model 70. The Bansner and Echols options look very nice but I haven't handled them.

IIRC, AG only warranties their stocks for use on chamberings up to .300 RUM. This isn't terribly uncommon on lightweight stocks. Recoil between a RUM and a .375 H&H can't be that much different, but it's something to be aware of when you start restocking larger caliber rifles.

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
