What Watch do you wear when you hunt?

View attachment 612914

One of the watches I had assembled. Seiko 4R35 movement in a modified SKX type case. Shroud made from naval bronze, and assembled with blind hole screws. The bezel insert is sapphire, rear printed with lume applied so the hash marks and numerals can be seen in darkness. Domed sapphire crystal. The bezel itself was made by a fellow up in.... Ohio I think. The back is engraved "The Dog's Bollocks", because I think this one turned out well, has been worn quite a bit too.
Intersting take on the Tuna. Looks very well done

I don't always wear a watch when I hunt. But when I do, I prefer a Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime.

I don't always hunt Roe Deer, but when I do this one keeps pretty good time.

Just ordered another watch.

Thanks a lot, you pack of enablers :ROFLMAO:

Not sure it'll see much hunting duty.

I'd had a hankering for a blue faced watch for a while.
I didn't have a GMT (apart from the G-Shock).
I didn't have a Flieger (It'll do until I get a Laco).

Sapphire, screw down crown, interesting GMT operation, Swiss movement (Ronda 515 from memory), some cool Glycine history.

What's there not to like for US$127!

Picked up a WOE Five Eye Nato strap for my everyday. Really liking the Nato strap over band or bracelet, not sure i'll ever go back.

You have good taste! I agree, the WOE straps are excellent.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.
