Serbia Halts Arms Exports? Aims to Focus on Home Military Needs

Serbia has announced that they plan to suspend all arms exports to focus on supplying their own military for rising tensions between them and Kosovo.

I have a Zastava bolt action in .270 on the way right now. New shipments of rifles and ammo may dry up.

These are dark days, Per. They used to be a very good source for 7.65mm Argentine sporting cartridges.

For the next few years I expect on-going shortages of ammunition and components. The war in Ukraine has caused all governments to re-examine their defense preparedness. In most cases it had been allowed to drop to negligible holding. Ukraine has been a wake up call in regard to both the need and the volumes that modern conflict consumes. Governments are scrambling to rebuild their stocks. Compared to military sales, sporting ammo is little more than the left over floor sweepings.

7x57 Mauser of the old German Dwm Specs .

Aswell as 8mm Mauser and their 8mm Sniper's spec ammo

One can hope the troubles will be sortted soon.
