My little VZ 33 in 7x57

Bob I headed out hunting in the pouring rain this morning. Not the place for that master piece. I would 4 wheel a Bentley first.
Or just think if you take it out in the rain hunting you get to bring her home, undress her( remove action from stock) rub her down, then oil her up. Then dress her up again until next time. Sounds perfectly pleasurable to me. :giggle:

I knew there was some thing strange about Bobo_O.

Nice build! I'm doing a VZ33 build as well (a VZ33, pre 33/40, same action, just pre and post occupation). Nice actions. Nice rifle. Congrats - enjoy!
Very good, and thank you. I hope your project turns out well sir.

This is my 7X57, built on a G33/40 action by Harry Creighton and stocked by the Fajen custom shop in 1970. It has seen some hard use since then, including a trip to Africa in 1974, where it accounted for several head of plains game, including two brindled wildebeest in about a minute, the second one at a dead run, each with one shot. And this record book Peter's gazelle.View attachment 503946View attachment 503951

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ
