G’day Geoff,
Mate, I noticed you purchased a rifle from overseas.... can you tell me the procedure of importing a rifle to Australia from a private seller?
Cheers

Really sorry about the delay in responding; The purchase fell through, but the Importer took the rifle onto his books; sold it very soon after .The importer specialises i doing this; Black Range Firearm, in Dandenong, Victoria. Well worth a call, he's very helpful, and knowledgeable. Best of luck!

I did a little housekeeping in my shop and found some .500 Jeffery ammo that I no longer need. Superior Ammunition and Hendershots loaded them, along with AHR (American Hunting Rifles). Several Woodleigh/A-Square solids along with lead bullets in both 535g and 600g. Message me for any details.

Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

That's an incredible sable,...congrats. I'm hunting with Gary Duckworth June 2021 in Zimbabwe. I think the Duckworth boys are dialed in.

Thank you! Definitely a once in a lifetime trophy. Yes, the Duckworth family has been doing it successfully for many years. Top notch, in my opinion.
I am headed back to Zim with them in 2022 and hunting in the Save!!
Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.

I would be interested as long as they aren't loaded up too hot. Its impossible to find brass right now. There is some Jamieson brass in austrailia in stock but I haven't had good experience with that brass. If you have any components I'd be interested. I already have dies.

No, they were not loaded hot. I have never been a fan of pushing the limits on handloads, especially on the big bores. I typically start around the low end and work up from there but never to max. I will also look to see what components I have left. I am pretty confident I have some bullets and maybe some spent brass as well.

And yes, finding reloading components for most calibers is difficult now.
will Leica Amplus 6-2.5x15x50 fit on a pro success Blaser with low mount?
The refuge I work for... we have some phenomenal grayling on many of the rivers. I take HS kids out for a summer float camp. We routinely catch 20+ inch grayling. Here's one caught by my oldest daughter a few years back; it was just shy of 20 but was her first fish on a fly rod.
Yes sir thats a great Grayling. Any grayling over 20" and 3 lbs is huge
I have a like new VC .450 I might part with. I had it built in 2013 and it has served me well. Also have a VC fitted leather trunk case for it along with the plastic case it came with. I'll take 14000 for all of it.
Hi Jody,
I have been looking for ideas on the best way to display my European mounts from Africa. I came across some of your shield work and was wondering if you would be willing to make one for me? If so, please let me know the cost. I like the shield with the two spears that you built for a member years ago. Thanks.
Nelson. Is this message a PM format. I want to send you my email, but don't know if this is the cirrect way to do it. I'm at Send me an email with your phone and I will call you about a skull I have.
