Hi Bob, how's things going in Wyong?. Down your way a couple of years back but haven't been in NSW since Ebor for the fishing. just getting over some nasty storms up here in Qld, seeing the sun for the first time in a few days. I'm going to NZ in the spring and hope to clean up a few buns while there and perhaps shake the spiders out of my old .303LE (currently owned by my BIL). Cheers Brian

That's an incredible sable,...congrats. I'm hunting with Gary Duckworth June 2021 in Zimbabwe. I think the Duckworth boys are dialed in.

Thank you! Definitely a once in a lifetime trophy. Yes, the Duckworth family has been doing it successfully for many years. Top notch, in my opinion.
I am headed back to Zim with them in 2022 and hunting in the Save!!
Heard you may have load data for the 500 Jeffery,.....any info would be appreciated. Was thinking 535gr, but already had a response that the 570gr would be a better way to go, not sure why.

I would be interested as long as they aren't loaded up too hot. Its impossible to find brass right now. There is some Jamieson brass in austrailia in stock but I haven't had good experience with that brass. If you have any components I'd be interested. I already have dies.

No, they were not loaded hot. I have never been a fan of pushing the limits on handloads, especially on the big bores. I typically start around the low end and work up from there but never to max. I will also look to see what components I have left. I am pretty confident I have some bullets and maybe some spent brass as well.

And yes, finding reloading components for most calibers is difficult now.
will Leica Amplus 6-2.5x15x50 fit on a pro success Blaser with low mount?
The refuge I work for... we have some phenomenal grayling on many of the rivers. I take HS kids out for a summer float camp. We routinely catch 20+ inch grayling. Here's one caught by my oldest daughter a few years back; it was just shy of 20 but was her first fish on a fly rod.
Yes sir thats a great Grayling. Any grayling over 20" and 3 lbs is huge
I have a like new VC .450 I might part with. I had it built in 2013 and it has served me well. Also have a VC fitted leather trunk case for it along with the plastic case it came with. I'll take 14000 for all of it.
Hi Jody,
I have been looking for ideas on the best way to display my European mounts from Africa. I came across some of your shield work and was wondering if you would be willing to make one for me? If so, please let me know the cost. I like the shield with the two spears that you built for a member years ago. Thanks.
Nelson. Is this message a PM format. I want to send you my email, but don't know if this is the cirrect way to do it. I'm at Send me an email with your phone and I will call you about a skull I have. Sold a Blaser scope mount to him. He was a pleasure to do business with.
Hi Luke. Just saw your message. I am in Dillingham, and have been since 2002. I took an elementary teaching gig here, taught here five years, and then got a job with Togiak National Wildlife Refuge as their education and outreach specialist. Recently I just got a promotion and now I'm the Visitor Services Manager. Prior to DLG I spent 6 years teaching for Lake and Pen in Nondalton.

Hi Luke. Best of wishes on your move to Palmer. What will you be doing there? I like DLG a lot; it is home. I seem to recall you teach? There are always openings here. The elementary is solid. The principal there is a rock star. He is terrific and he's not going anywhere. They have a new principal at the MS/HS. I don't know anything about her. Happy to chat about anything. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Thanks for the ideas. I was a teacher but I started working with CRNA. I'm doing Behavioral Health work. Going to school online to be a counselor. So in a couple years I could be pretty flexible in where I live. I hear you have good bear hunting

Well, it seems like the hospital also has openings a lot. They have a behavioral health wing. Options are good. Brown bear hunting is pretty good. 2 bear limit, no tags needed. A hunting license and you're ready to roll.
Hi TT
I am glad you found some useful info in my posts. Hard cast WFN with GC will do the job fine. I trust Veral Smith (owner of LBT company) - I believe that he can provide you with some finest HC bullets. Many companies are coping his design. I can help you from here in developing max loads (40.000psi) just let me know which powder you are using (I use Quick Load software which turns to be very reliable).

Thank you again.

In a perfect world I would have more time and component choices. I remain hopeful I can find a solution with what I have on hand. I am grateful for your willingness to share what you have found.

Your generosity is appreciated. That cow of yours really stoked my imagination.
Rburg44, Looking hard @ booking with LEN in 2021. What's a trip like this run ya? Would you do anything different? Thanks - Derek -
Cal, is your James Watts book still available? I had my first .450 Watts back in 1972 and took it with me to Kenya in 1974. It always infuriates me to see the ".458 Lott" referred to, when all Lott did was shorten the case of the Watts slightly and attach his name to it, as if he were the originator.

Do you happen to still have the Meopro 6x42 rifle scope for sale?

I have been trying to contact Makore via the emails linked from your main website and they keep getting returned. I had been referred to your families outfit by a friend who has hunted with you guys. I am looking for a buffalo hunt. Please respond if by chance you get this message so we can connect and discuss.
