ZIMBABWE: May 2017 Hunt With Mbalabala Safaris

Mr. Spots owes quite a few hunters. Me included! Agreed great report.

Great hunting report! Too bad about Mr. Spots! I loved the eland it was grand trophy, a real beauty. You got to see new country and get a lot of hunting in before you had to go home.

Thank you sir! I am very pleased with the whole experience, and yes super happy about the eland!

Such a great animal to hunt

Thanks for the report Charles. Sorry you didn't get your leopard, but it sounds like you had a great adventure and got some great animals!

I really appreciate you taking the time to tell us the story!

Thanks Jason! I did have a great time and hunt!

I just noticed your new avatar pic....Nice!

Like the new avatar pic as well, pity it isn't spots!

Thank you sir! Yes I wish it was spots but not a bad alternative!

Found another brighter pic of the eland....

Don't you just love that eland? I know I was and still am thrilled with mine. Congratulations again

Charles, I really enjoyed your report. As your hunt report demonstrates, Zim is a wonderful place to go on safari.

What a great story!!! My son (12) and I are heading out today for Zim. And yes, I did not get my leopard last year so here we go again:) Took advise from AH folks and my son and I are going to keep a journal and hope to have a good story to tell. Especially with all of the BIG 5 at the camp we are going to.

Cheers

Exactly what I did, made it easier to recount the days instead of trying to remember

BTW, did you get the "Big 5" wood carving while you were in the Vic Falls area?

I keep coming across pics that I left out of some of the posts, so here is a random assortment of pics....

Monster Cricket.. Lin called it a corn cricket, this thing would have filled up my hand if I attempted to pick it up

I enjoyed the story. Sorry about the leopard being missed, but otherwise sounds like a great time.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
