Hunted
Namibia (3), Zimbabwe
My son and I recently returned from a hunt with Threeways Safaris in the Bietbridge East area of Zimbabwe. In a word it was great. Absolutely no complaints with anything controllable by man. The lead PH, Quinn Kloppers, was super, the accommodations were more than adequate, as was the food, but best of all, unlike a previous adventure in the Caprivi, there were animals to see and hunt.
In 12 days of hunting my son and I took two Buffalo, two Zebra, two Impala, and a baboon. We could have taken a lot more had we been so inclined. Both Buff were old with trophy sized hard bosses. They scored 101 and 105 SCI.
The weather in February could best be describe as "challenging", but outside influences forced that timing on us. It was HOT and humid, but the PH and camp staff worked through the problems and we had a great hunt.
I can recommend this outfit Threeways Safaris with NO reservations.

sounds like some fun do you have any pictures to show us

Seems a little odd to me that you sell hunts in Namibia but say the Caprivi had no game? I do recall a bit of posting awhile back to that effect anyway and complaints back and forth. Did that ever get resolved?

ikeda, Good times.

Interesting hunt to have to compare it to: "there were animals to see and hunt".

Definitely post some pictures when you can.

Definitely interested in seeing some pics. Congrats on a great hunt.

I have always heard good reports of Tokkie's "Three ways Safaris".
I have hunted a couple times across the river from him in an area that has now a game fence around it. I have heard this area has now plenty of game after being closed to hunting for some years.
Could you see this fence on the other side of the river?

Congrats on a fine hunt to you and your son. Would love to see some pics as soon as you have time.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
