You might be an African Safari hunter if……

Your computer screens at work continuously rotate pictures from your last trip. Plus you are seriously considering if one of your mounts will fit on the office wall

If you’re reading this thread from a lodge… in South Africa…

:)

When you go to seat the first .375 bullet of the day and for a split second think you grabbed one for a 30 06.

If your grandkids are watching animal cartoons and you change the channel to Nat Geo so you can watch and tell them about REAL African animals.

If your grandkids call you on FaceTime and ask you to show them the animals in your trophy room again.

If you and the grandkids take an empty rifle stock and stalk, hunt, “shoot” and pose with the animals in your trophy room that your grandkids “shot” while your wife takes the pictures.

…if you’re an older gentleman and going to the eye doctor to get a contact lens for your dominant eye for astigmatism correction so you can see the sights on your double rifle better.

If you're traveling to Africa while replying to PHs on WhatsApp about future hunts.

If you are checking AH classifieds while in Africa because you don't want to miss the deal on 458 or Nitro brass like the last time it happened. Yep.

When you have been tried harassed at Maun airport by photo tourists.. when laying a large bore double on the customs counter..

When driving on a two lane road in the US with a vehicle in front of you doing maybe half of the speed limit with too much oncoming traffic to pass and the first thing you yell is, MOVE YOU POES!!!

When you can look up in your corporate office and see a Cape Buffalo mount, look up in your living room and see 7 other species, and look up in your home office to see the 375 Barnes bullet pulled from just under the skin of your first Cape Buffalo.

or

When you consider a Jack Russell Terrier an appropriate breed to take when hunting animals that can kill you! LOL I like that one.

If the idea of being in a airplane for 16 hrs doesn't seem that bad!

We did 21. Flight from Jo'burg back to EWR was re-routed to PR to refuel due to a mechanical issue. 21 hours, on the same plane. It was worth it though.
