WORLD CUP 2014 - Who are you cheering for?

I just watched the opening ceremony and was wondering about my fellow AH members who might be watching.

There are a bunch of AH members from countries that are being represented this year.

I'm currently watching the second have of the opener with Brazil helping Croatia at the moment.

Any rabid soccer fans?

So, who are you cheering for?

so wayne whose side are you on?

In the past I have tended to wait to watch the performances of a few groups games to see who is playing football and who is looking for an Academy Award. Too much acting, I bounce them from the cheering list.

Been looking at the odds and the old faithful teams are all in it.

After Brazil scoring the opening goal on themselves I was wondering about them. They have an advantage at home and think the rest have their work cut out to take it away.
Netherlands and Germany look to be close contenders.

At the moment I am cheering for Australia playing Chile.

Must have a soft spot for the underdogs!

Mostly I just like watching great play. I'll get rabid as the tournament proceeds.

I would rather watch:censored: Tiddlywinks!

Thankfully, I have a Sharks fan up the street who has a PVR to watch those games over breakfast on a weekend.

thats a good way to catch up on the sports... pity he's a sharks fan though!! (n)

I was in RSA in 2010 right during the middle of the WC. I'm rooting for the guy that takes those friggin' vuvuzelas away from the mouths of the idiots blowing the damn things and inserts them into an alternative orifice!

+1 Phil..and then I'll vote for the Netherlands.

are you talking sharks as in Cronulla sharks, bricko ?

rugby aint football ,micheal, its 3 blokes trying to push 2 blokes heads up 1 blokes ass....
yup sounds about right from what i can remember when i played a few decades ago!!! but isnt aussie rules footy about beating the crap out of each other? :D

Hell what's soccer?

How do you tell a "trophy" ball from a representative ball? What are the sci measuements? Does anyone know what the day rates and trophy fees are for a soccer ball? Does a burchell soccer ball have shadow stripes wheras a mountain soccer ball just black and white?

Go say that in Brazil right now

I like soccer. My sons play it and all my nieces and nephews play it on some level. I've enjoyed going to college soccer matches. But when it comes to watching professionals, I can't get into it. I can say the same thing about professional basketball and baseball. I rather watch grass grow.

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
