Going to see Loodt and the pink brigade in May! This will be a combination safari for me and tourist stuff for the wife. Kudu and bushbuck will be the "primary" targets, but I'm honestly looking forward to some of the little guys like steenbok. I'm a big believer in opportunity too, so we will see what happens.

Going to SA in July with Paw Print and BosenDal for archery plains game.

Memorial Day will be day 1 of hunting with younger son at HartzView.

First trip to SA, will be hunting in the southern cape area in the middle part of May.

I don't graduate from college until mid May. I'm not sure I have time this year. I certainly try to if something works out.

My first trip to Africa. I'll be hunting buffalo and plains game with Chifuti Safaris.

Do you know who your PH is? The bull in my avatar was taken with Chifuti last August. You are in for the hunt of a lifetime!!!! I will be glad to talk to you if you'd like.

Welcome to AH!

I'll also be heading to SA to visit Loodt at Tootabi. While technically not my first trip to Africa, I spent a day in Morocco on a liberty call when I was in the Navy, this is certainly my first hunting trip there. I'll be hunting wildebeest, hartebeest, and warthog. The most exciting part is my daughter is coming along and hopes to take an impala or springbok. She was never really excited about hunting but she is very excited about this!

South Africa with Andri Fox for lion and buffalo. The kids are after plains game. The wife will be "hunting" for some places to shop.

South Africa (KZN) for red duiker, bush pig, reedbuck and a few other local animals; will then be joined by my youngest for his first hunt at Wintershoek Johnny Vivier Safaris for an old buffalo cow I saw last year with a huge spread (horns, gentlemen, please!), a (green) rhino hunt and plains game for the son, followed up by 12 days with Jerome in Namibia for more plains game for the son and with any luck a cheetah for me!

Have fun chasing that Cheetah.
You have to see the Cheetah mount in person.

Thanks Brickburn. There are benefits to living in Canada!

Not sure what you mean by having to see the cheetah mount in person?

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

My wife (a biologist, like me) had to have a melanoma removed from her arm last fall.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
