What is the best car you have ever owned?

First love, my first car bought with my hard earned dollars, a ‘71 Chevelle Malibu, never should’ve sold it.
Next love was my silver ‘73 Camaro Z28, never should’ve sold it.
Fast forward through many work and family trucksters and my next love was my 2000 BMW 540 6 speed and as fun as it was to drive it was an easy decision to sell as it became a money pit.
Finally wouldn’t have sold my 2004 Ford King Ranch F-250 6.0 Turbo Diesel but it got stolen and so far I’m really enjoying my 2021 Ford F-150 Limited.
A little toy car I keep in the garage so I didn’t always have to take the F250 is a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe V-6 6 speed I got from my FIL who was a car guy and he kept it immaculate and added some great touches to it. Even tho my F150 is better as an every day vehicle than the F250 (eg parking in downtown H town garages) I can’t let that lil Coupe go.

1998 Lexus LS400 - the 1997-2001 years were the pinnacle of this phenomenal automobile, and I stumbled on to a real cherry of a preowned one several years ago. The LS400 is arguably the best vehicle ever put on the road when it comes to the combination of style, comfort, performance, quality, and reliability. Anything that can ride like a cloud up to 156 mph and still be ultra reliable is very hard to beat. Served me well up until 2018, when i changed over to a Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi, and is a pretty strong runner-up.

BMW 3.0 CSL….

Best car was probably the BMW X5…

Favorite was a dodge ram 1500… it was a beast, and just fun to drive…

2005 FORD EXCURSION 6.0 4X4. BULLET-PROOFED WITH ALL THE TYPICAL ENGINE MODS. 300K MILES ON IT. SON HAS IT WAITING ON ME WHEN WE MAKE TRIPS HOME.

i’m currently have two cars that i really enjoy. a 2007 toyota fj cruiser 4wd, and a 2008 Maserati Granturismo. trying to choose my favorite is like choosing between a blonde or brunette. i might give a different answer every time asked lol. both are so much fun to drive. i actually took the gt out to Road Atlanta a month ago and had an absolute blast running it around the track.

Three Ford Excursions with 7.3 turbo diesel's which were great put 100K on each then got the last one which was built with a 6.0 diesel and it likely was one of the worse vehicles I ever owned
spent over half of its 2 year life in the shop. Ford eventually took it back under lemon law.
Still have a 2006 H2 Hummer that has only had tires and windshield and wipers in 105,000 miles, can't bring myself to sell it, best snow and ice vehicle I've ever owned!

A car or truck is a necessity, but it can also be so rewarding. Perhaps this is because of it's capability that never ceases to amaze you, maybe the sheer quality of what you are driving. Or maybe just because it brings a smile to your face every time you get behind the wheel. So which is it for you and why?
I'll start this one off - it is easy - my little Land Rover Series 1! It is so capable, so adequate for it's intended task, so functional and practical. It is tiny, but it seats seven, and then takes them up a mountain. It exudes charm, neither pretty nor shiny, just beautiful. It has character by the ton, always pleases and has been doing so for 70 years, and will continue to do so for many decades more. Once we put a zebra, two impala and five adults in it, no problem. I will never sell this little car, just too much fun.

My Porche 944 Turbo in candy apple red with gold BBS honey comb wheels. My favorite hunting/normal use is my 2013 Land Rover LR4

I am not a car guy. Drove several European car brands probably unknown outside of Europe like Opel (Vauxhall) and Dacia but the best car, in the way of most reliable and economical friendly, was a Suzuki.

When my current car needs replacement I'll probably will look for a car made in Japan or Korea. They are just so good and almost no maintenance costs.

I am torn between a 2004 VW Golf 1.9SDI 86HP
And my 2005 Mervedes 200 CDI 122hp

Both have above 330.000 on the clock and run just fine.

A 1984 Magirus Deutz 4x4 9ton Truck with emthe lovely Aircooled Turbo Straight 6 is just a smidge behind.

Those 7.3 Excursions were beasts. Dream hunting rig for me. I miss my 7.3L super duty but since she was a northern truck I could put my fist through a hole in the frame. I spent 6mo searching for a donor excursion I could drop my low mileage engine in and finally turned one up driving through Laurel Mississippi the week after I sold her.

The Hummers are nice too. I’m always toying with the idea of a low mileage H1 for hunting.

1981 Audi Quattro Coup in red. Loved that car. It had come to Canada from Saudi and was so much fun, especially with the Ned Ritchie mod package.

My F250SD 7.3 4X4. I have owned it since new in 2000. It's rough appearance wise but mechanically very good. I use it to run around in the desert here in AZ. It's been pretty low maintenance. A couple of water pumps and sensors is about all except for regular maintenance items.

2011 E550 cabriolet Mercedes-Benz convertible

Relatively large V8, 400 hp, ridiculous power to weight ratio.

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
