What are the best grip caps you have seen?

I have contacted Patrick Mavros in Harare for a custom silver grip cap on my R8. hope to pick it up next time I'm there or if I see him here in the States during season. Don't know what it will look like but I'm sure it will look great.

He is a brilliant artist, I'm sure it will be spectacular. Please post photos when you can, would love to see it.

I designed one that I think is very unique, but was told by Simon Clode that it was too complicated and probably not traditional enough for most of the trade. It would not be cheap, but it's a slick design. It allows full engraving on the surface and a trap, but with no fasteners visible.

I would love to hear more about that project. Did you have diagrams or a sketch of the design?

here is mine (butterfly named after Arthur Neumann ) on my 256 Newton. Engraving done by Lisa Tomlin.

here is a trapdoor conducive for engraving, should be in machining late this year. Sized to fit a NECG long sight hood or a Joe Smithson peep sight.

@Jefferry404 that butterfly is awesome. Love the clean lines and the colors. Thank you for sharing! Please keep us up to date on the grip cap machining.

I like the skeletonised caps.

Von Gruff showed some of his own work. He no longer posts here but some of his threads come up under NZ Timb

Great post! My 2008 Merkel DR in 470NE has a plastic grip cap, which is the only aesthetic aspect of it that I don't like. I have emailed the company as well as the US rep but have not yet received a response as to alternative options? If anyone know an alternative that would easily fit I would greatly appreciate it?
Did you get any answers? I have a 2010 Merkel 500 Ne with beautiful engraving, the plastic grip cap needs to go!!

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
Finally back to somewhat normal I missed reading the messages and posts
