Want To Buy Safari Leather

Anyone got a design or a link to a design for either a tripod or a quad shooting stick?

There’s some bamboo around here just begging for a machete.

Buy a set of Viperflex quad sticks. No shooting sticks with 3 points on the ground will have the stability of quad sticks.
This is so very true, use them as a bipod for fast and close engagements but then deploy the rear support to make shots out to 300m very straightforward. Oh and they dismantle to fit in your suitcase for travel

It’s easy and cheap to try.
Take four poles of head height - lots of folk use plastic coated garden canes about 1/2 in diameter. Join two together with strips of bicycle inner tube or something else that is flexible - physiotherapy resistance tubing (theraband) also works well. Repeat so that you have two separate standing height bipods.
Now bungee the legs of both sets of bipods together and you are finished. It is crude but this allows you to experiment with the quad sticks at home for negligible cost.
Shooting off them is easy, spread the legs to make a bipod and rest the fore-end on the front V. Then pull the rear V towards your body to rest the rear of the stock either in front of or behind the rear sling swivel. Lateral movement is via moving one of the feet on the ground. The proprietary sticks like viper flex make lateral adjustment much easier but the home made versions are great to try out the concept. The most important thing though is to get out and practice!

I received My boyt cartridge belt today and can say I'm truly impressed with it for the price.I think they will fit about anyone as I have a 32" waist and will need to add a bunch of holes and cut off several inches.

Agreed! Mine arrived too and I am impressed. Looking forward to putting some miles on it.

Nice Report! Im about to pull the trigger on booking the LDE with Patrick. I have been talking about it with him for about 3 yrs now. Romain hit me up the other day with an offer I can't refuse for 2027.

Andrew, I commented that your on 375 H&H for sale was the fair price.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?
