I think the $1000 to $2000 covers it. I know people that would interested on the lower price range...but every can price the hunt to what they feel comfortable.

I would like to hunt for nilgai!

Nilgai hunts seem to be about $3000 and saw one that offered a Javelina with it for $500 more.

Don't see as many Niglai guides as I expected I would. Another hunt to dream about for next year

I have not looked in awhile at niglai hunts. But I could see paying that if the hunting was good....and the money included a good opportunity at a trophy niglai. Damn I'm getting addicted to Africa and love base pay with options and incentives for good animals. Frankly I wish most North America hunts operated that way. I absolutely hate these elk and mule deer hunts priced for an arm and a leg for average animals or no animals at all.

. The more and more I meet new people in the hunting community, the more I am impressed by the amount of good hearted and giving people there are. Hunting and hunters get a lot of unjustified bad press but I couldnt be happier to be apart of this community. The fact someone I never met let me hunt his property, speaks volumes of Paul's character and I can't thank him enough.

Having been to Temple's place, I can say with some authority that your pic does not do justice to the road to the top of the mountain, that thing is STEEP.

Congrats on the Ram and better luck next time on the Javelinas.

For nilgai, check out the Armstrong Ranch (where Dick Cheyney shot his buddy); cow nilgai are a bargain and superb table fare.

The Boot Ranch , owned by former rodeo star MAlcolm Callaway, has javelina (my wife & I killed 4 with 3 shots) and truly free range elk.

Like yourself, we Really enjoy Texas, Texans, and hunting the Lone Star State.

That old Savage is in beautiful condition!

I wish I could have joined you on that Javelina hunt, but that is the story of my life, work pops up when a hunt is scheduled. I'm glad you had fun on my land, and hope to hunt there with you next time. I may go this weekend to see if I can find one myself! If work permits.... Your welcome back any time!

Cant say thanks enough Panielsen! My bank account may not like it but you opened my eyes to a new addiction :)

I would love to see pics if get one and an idea where you found it. I found what i thought was 2 hot spots. One right near the intersection at beginning of property and one in sort of dead center on the "second half" of the property when split by that road heading towards the water tank.

Joester, I will check them out right now. Thanks!

Ragman: thank you very much! I have two hand me downs from my Grandfather and really cant get enough of that 300. Very unique and beautiful gun and seems to knock everything down I shoot with it.

They are a great rifle. My Dad bought one in .308 back in 1965 and has hunted with it every year since then. This fall makes 50 years! It is in no where near as nice of condition as your Grand Dad's though!

Too be fair, it was damaged by soot in a house fire in 2012. Never was near flame but smoke and such caused all our guns to rust in matter of mins. So was sent off to be completely redone

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
Thanks,

Love your rifle! I'm needing a heavier rifle for Africa. Sold my .375 Dakota Safari several trips ago. Would you have any interest in a trade of some sort involving the custom 338/06 I have listed here on the site ( I have some room on my asking price. I also have a large quantity of the reloading components and new Redding dies as well as a box of A-Square Dead Tough ammo.
