I have a question for our members on taxidermy on European species. I'll be hunting with Marius @HUNTROMANIA for Chamois and Red Stags, but haven't pinned down a Taxidermist yet.

I briefly spoke to Bob Vitro the owner of True-Life Taxidermy in Middletown, NY and his crew at the SCI in Nashville. Very nice folks and their location is just across the river from NYC. As I understood it, they can pick up shipments into the port, and act as a broker? Living in Ohio it wouldn't be a huge stretch to drive over to pick things up after the work is done.

I did talk to Turkey Hill Taxidermy in PA, and several others at the SCI. I'm wondering what others here have used for taxidermy coming from Europe.

Turkey Hill did my African work and I was happy with them. One of the guys I went with has had a lot of work including some NZ and European game done by them as well and it looks good.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
