Trophy Importation into Africa

While my Namibian outfitter friend is in the States for the DSC and SCI shows in early 2018, I may take him mule deer hunting. He would really like to have the trophy imported back into Africa, specifically Namibia, but doesn't know the rules and I certainly don't. Anybody know?

You may tell him to contact the Namibian Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry at http://www.mawf.gov.na.

He may also want to contact Ministry of Finance Customs and Excise division at http://www.mof.gov.na/customs-and-excise.

This is a good start but it will be easier for him to do the research from Namibia for the importation of his trophies. As far as the exportation of the trophies from the US I would call the United States Customs Service at https://www.cbp.gov.
