Hi all...

I have a question, is it possible to sell the tusks from a successful elephant hunt to offset the costs. If so let's say a humble Canadian hunter was able to bring down a pair of 35 pounders. What would the value for such a pair be?

My son really would like to see a shoulder mount done if I am successful. I too think it would be great to pass it on to him when I leave the planet.

Do hunters do this, I'd have no issue forfeiting the real tusks for a set of fibreglass replicas on a shoulder mount. I might be able to afford the hunt, there may not be enough cash left to pay for the mounting and ship it home to Canada.

Open to your thoughts...

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
