The start of dakotas lioness mount

Way cool Bill and Dakota!

Amazing how that front leg has transformed from when I saw it and it was all little cuts and glued back together to customize.

Bill I can hardly wait to see how the base turns out! Be sure to post updates on this thread as it comes along and when you finally get her standing in it!

well I got another picture to share and boy do I have some good friends on AH. They all helped paul with the finish work. Royal ,tim and tim,s wife going the extra mile just for me. With loodt behind it all I am guessing. Boy I can feel the love all the way from SA.

Just getting caught up with the thread.

Yeah, Paul had left a few of the screws kind of loose, but we got them tightened up good!

The detail really is nicely done and just like the picture. The muscle is all there, but not overdone either. The pictures truly don't do the mount justice.

Bob I will post some pictures of the base when done. Just found some great rocks to use on it and have some red sand ready to go. just need to find some real grass to use. I think I am going to do the wood out of walnut.

Relive did a great job on that mount. I can't wait to see it in place on the base your creating.

@billc we need to speak about the base your making. I too would like to build my own.

I will make sure to take good pictures. I am going to start the working on the base for Dakotas elk which will be desert also so that will give me some idea how hard it is to do shortly.

Well she is done and waiting to go in her crate for the trip to PA. Very happy with everything done by paul and his crew at relive taxidermy. He took some great new pictures for me to share. The first pic is of what I ask paul to make her look like.

Wow! that sure turned out nice. I bet you are thrilled.

Terrific! Can't wait to see her on your base.

She's a monster! The facial expression is great - one of the tougher things I find to get right - but they've done a great job here.

She looks great Bill

crazy how that lioness stalking in the green grass looks exactly like the one in the first picture....

oh wait....

Awesome! I love the scar on her nose too.

On second look I don't think Paul got the color of the grass quite right though. (n)(n)(n)

Excellent lioness mount Bill.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
