Cool, thanks for sharing!

Bell was a great story teller.
I really enjoyed his book:
“The Wanderings of an Elephant Hunter”.
.....well, except that he didn’t say much about the not just one, but two .416 Rigby Mausers and about 2,000 rounds of steel covered bullets that, he purchased from John Rigby & Company.
He did write a lot about himself using his .275 aka: 7x57, for many hundreds of elephants .... hmmm.

Thanks!

I would love to witness someone shoot a bird on the wing with a rifle!

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to reading some of the books mentioned in the article, one is on my shelf already!

i shot a buzzerd with a .222 on the fly in my youth hunting groundhog, may have been a lucky shot as i never tried it again(it was illegal).

Very nice article! Thanks for sharing it. I wonder in what year the .375 caliber was deemed the minimum for African DG?

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
