The Dream Safari

Don’t get me wrong when I posted my dream hunt. I could have easily added leopard to the Tanzania hunt but I took a very mature leopard in Zimbabwe and that was my dream animal to hunt.

Thanks Posts like yours makes me appreciate more my back yard. As a BC resident we get to do most of your dream hunt annually, (No Dall annually as LEH and hard to draw) the others and more with OTC tags. I am truly blessed and spoiled, as I spend 3 months each fall in a wall tent bouncing around the Province following the open seasons and species, maybe that's why Africa ranks as my dream hunt.

Can we become best friends and you guide me? Lol.

I probably should have! It is really good looking at what everyone has on their bucket list though.

Hey, someone has to hit the lottery!

Really, after thinking on this for a few days, I’m not sure I haven’t already been on my dream Africa safari... many times! If I could go again with no constraints, for certain it would be for at least a couple of months and probably in several areas without haste in any area. Wouldn’t go with any preconceived list of species to hunt- may not even shoot any big game. But would love to do some wing shooting for francolin, guinea fowl, dove and sand grouse. Definitely do some salt water fishing around the Seychelles and largemouth bass and tiger fish in freshwater. Destinations could include- Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana, Uganda and Tanzania. With a certain return to the Kalahari in Botswana. Timing would be between March and September. Would rent or borrow any firearms used but would take my own fishing gear.

My dream safari is always my ‘next safari’!

Second that. The next one coming up that I dream and scheme about for a year. Every one I go on and don't get what's on my list becomes my bucket list for next time

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?
