Hi All,
I am pretty excited as I leave for RSA on April the 10th to celebrate my 50th with a bow hunt. I understand the Limpopo area has been dry. If any of you are in the area and can update that would be great. I am taking my Mathews Heli M (my new love , what a back wall!) set at 60lbs , with easton injexion arrows and NAP deep six thunderheads (fixed blade version). Took the set up on a wild boar hunt an blew through one like a hot knife thru butter so I feel good about African plains game. I am so pumped I wish I could sleep. I will take lots of photos and bring back the best stories I can.

warmest regards-Jerry

Well good luck on your journey, I'm sure you will have a good time.

Damn wish I was going in a few days! Have a great trip and post when you get back

Wish you the best of luck, and look forward to your report and tons of pics !

Only 10 weeks left for my dad and I. I have so much to do, it's not funny! All this talk about being down to the wire is making me nervous! ;)

Jerry Have a great time take your smart phone with you and send us some teasers while your there and have a Great Birthday while your there. What Your first hunt in RSA?

I was there last May withmy bow and took a dandy Gemsbok , Eland , Blesbok and an Impala. I am more excited now that I understand things a bit. The first time blew me away. I hope this time I can get my feet on the ground.

Hi Zenbear

Firstly congratulations on your upcoming hunt and birthday.

It has been very dry here in Limpopo or at least in my neck of the woods, you should have no problem bow hunting at all I would say the conditions are pretty much ideal at the moment.

Best Regards
Louis van Bergen

I totally agree with that.
During my first hunt in SA I needed about 3-4 hunting days to really understand what I was experiencing and sadly I had only booked a 5 days hunt...
I didn't feel like boarding the plane going home at all and all I could think about on the plane, was how and when I could manage to get back to hunt in Africa again.

This time I have booked more days and I have a much better idea about it and how I want the hunting to be.

I have booked with Marius and after talking with him on the phone some times, I feel totally confident that he does everything possible to make my hunt a
great experience.

I am much more exited about my hunt this year than how I felt before my first SA trip :)

Hi All,
I am getting excited to go. If anyone in the are can tell me if it is
still dry that would be great. I can't control the weather but knowing what
I am heading into is good. I am there from the 10th to the 18th.

Here is also a good one ! You just have to enter the spesific place ! We had some very needed rain the last couple of days and it was widespread . It should be clear with a posibility of rain once in that time

Well I am beginning packing.I will have one more chance to fire my bow. I am not jittery yet but I know they will come. I always forget something. I just hope it's chapstick or something easily found in SRA. I have sacraficed a dozen jelly doughnuts to the gods of hunts so my book animal should be waiting for me. I will keep you all posted.

warmest regards-Jerry

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
