Taxidermist outrage?

Are you sure they are not charging you in rand? If you convert the charge it would be 428.00 US dollars.

That is what I am hoping. But they used dollar signs instead of R's. I asked the question, and will update when i hear.

HOLY CRAP!

I suggest they look at the name on the invoice and send you the proper one.

When you are ready please let us know who to avoid?

There has to be a problem! No way should it cost that much, $500 sounds more in the ball park.

WOW to price and WOW to the time span! 16 months!! I hunted in RSA in May and my animals are on their way home already. I had 10 shoulder mounts and numerous rugs. Hunters and Collectors in Port Elizabeth took very good care of me!

Hey Ben,
If you are uncomfortable posting any details of the taxidermist here on the thread, you are welcome to PM me the details of the taxidermist and maybe a copy of the invoice. I will contact them and see what I can figure out and do for you from this side.

Take Care,
Marius Goosen

Thank you, Marius. I'll give them a few days to clear up the Rand/Dollar question. I might take you up on tour offer.

Ben

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.

Hi EGS

I read your thread with interest. Would you mind sending me that PDF? May I put it on my website?
