Swift Bullets and Ammo

The 375 Aframes popped up after I posted. Went back and got some of those also.

I figure get it while you can. Never know when might show up again.
Definitely get it while you can. I never realized how fragile the premium bonded bullet market was until 2020. Swift A Frames are difficult to come by and I’m unsure if TBBCs in 375+ have even been produced again since 2020. Maybe Northfork can fill the void in future if other two don’t become more available again.

It looks like Norma does not load swift a frame anymore in their Norma PH line.
I heard the story swift a frames are phased out?

I’m sure they are looking for a bullet manufacturer with a consistent supply. I still think swift a frame is the best bonded hunting bullet for large game but they’ve been largely unavailable for the last 4 years especially in larger calibers. Even direct from swift has very little in stock.

You may be right. On web pages they announced Woodleigh bullets in their PH line. But none on offer yet.

GONE in both .375 H&H and Ruger. Swift wants $127/box for 250gr. A Frame in .338WM. More than .375 ammo. 225gr. Barnes TTSX on Midway for $55/box. Although, Swift's 400gr. in .416 Rigby at $176/box seems reasonable. Their $210 for 500gr. Lott ammo doesn't. WHEN will Nosler have another BOGO sale on their Safari ammo? Last one was 2019 I believe. I'll email them.

Yes, they're losing out to Barnes and Federal with availability and prices. They're MIA NOW with the 300gr. A Frames in JUST .375 H&H and Ruger, not to mention MANY other cartridges. I don't know how they stay in business.

My Boss bought me a box of Norma .458win with the 500gr Swift A frame loaded as I was shooting a lot of wounded Buffalo when guiding Double rifle shooters & Bow Hunters.
Hell it killed like a .500NE compared to my 90s vintage Winchester 500gr-510gr loads, even I was surprised & I knew they were very good !

Worth ever penny !!

Because Norma, like us, can't find ANY Swift bullets to load in their factory ammo! Absurd! IMHO, just like Sierra bought Barnes during Remington's bankruptcy (Remington owned Barnes), Swift needs a larger partner who can manufacture their bullets at a much higher rate at a competitive price point. Swift is losing out big time to other bullet manufacturers with both their pricing and bullet unobtanium business model.

I’m busy with discussions for a possible distributor for Safari Bullet Company bullets in the US.
If you guys would be interested.

@wildcatter82 I saw that announcement from North Fork. I haven’t tried their bullets but reputation and cut out appears very similar to Trophy bonded bear claw. They need to come in factory loaded ammo to ever reach the reputation of Swift or Trophy Bonded Bear claw though. Hopefully it will happen in future especially since they seem to actually be making bullets.

I wish swift was more available but I don’t think they have lost any followers. There is no competition to the A Frame unless Federal were to start making the trophy bonded bear claw in large calibers again. Federal has put out a lot of ammo, same with Norma, and Hornady but very little ammo with tough quality bullets for hunting Dangerous game. I don’t understand for all the resources Hornady has they don’t make a better bullet than the DGX or Norma better than the Oryx. My guess is bullets like Swift A Frame are more time consuming and costly to produce.

Hey all Swift has posted some ammo and bullets that have been out of stock.
Just bought some 458 lott ammo and some 375HH breakaway loaded ammo.

Just passing along
Thank you Mark
